Quick Sulpher stories

Feb 01, 2010 01:11

Sulpher is a domestic medium-hair kitty, which basically means her fur is
long enough that she may need occasional outside help to keep her fur from
becoming matted. She lets me groom most of her fur with minimal fuss, but
she's always been very protective of her belly fur. Over time it is this
fur that becomes most tangled, and if left ungroomed she has trouble keeping
it clean.

Tonight we seem to have reached a compromise for grooming Sulpher's belly
fur. First I feed her to render her more complacent. Then I grab the
grooming brush and groom her belly fur as best I can while she gnaws on my
toes. I have bite marks on my left foot now, but her fur is much neater and
she looks like a proper lady again. A fair trade, in my opinion ^_^

In other news, I'm using litter boxes in front of cabinet doors to keep
Sulpher out -- she hasn't managed to move 30 pounds of sand yet. One of
those litter boxes had an instant coupon stuck on the outside. That coupon
was removed by someone with claws a few days ago, and Sulpher now treats
that coupon like a hockey puck on my hardwood floors. Oh, kitties -- you
buy them catnip toys, and they go after random scraps of paper.
