What's air travel without random ATC quotes?
I'm back safe and sound from my latest travels. Here's your random dose
of ATC communication, this time from SFO ground:
AC754: Ground, good evening, it's AC754 with you. We're at spot 8,
information Golf, and we're gonna need a place just to sit for about an
extra ten to fifteen minutes due to a curfew in Toronto.
Ground: AC754, San Francisco Ground, you saying you want to go
to the penalty box for five?
AC754: [laughs] As strange as it sounds, yeah, we're not allowed to land
before six o'clock in the morning in Toronto so we've gotta waste about ten
or twelve minutes on the ground here first.
Ground: You gonna tell the passengers that ATC delayed you?
AC754: [laughs] We won't put the blame on you guys.
Ground: Ok, AC754 taxi to RWY 1R via A, A1 you can sit on A1 for
the time discussed.
