Code Geass has come to my attention a couple of times recently (most
recently from
ctrl_a), both times with favourable remarks, so I
thought I would take a quick look last night and see what it is about. I
had a few minutes last night while waiting on a build, so why not sit down
to an episode of new anime?
Err... six episodes later, I concluded that I just might enjoy Code Geass
a bit. And I just might have some new orders to place over at cdjapan.
Belatedly, it also occurred to me that my build was probably done =P
The most refreshing thing about this series is that for once, I don't
find myself glancing at the clock to find out how much is left in the
episode. It's rare for the pacing of a show to be about where I want it to
be; this series, so far, doesn't have any moments that feel sluggish or
artificially drawn out. Very nice.
I'm sure I'll have more to say about it when I've absorbed it a bit more,
but I feel like I watched 10 episodes of content last night -- it'll be a
short while before I have more to say. But shiny happy uplifting feel-good
anime! Yay!
