[OOC] Stats & Permissions
Name: Kaiji Itou; nearly always answers to Kaiji. His canon inexplicably defies normal Japanese forms of address in that everyone, from his superiors to his co-workers to creepy old men who want to cut bits of him off, calls him by his first name. Maybe it's due to a lack of respect for him as a person, maybe it's a ay of isolating him in such a group-oriented culture, but either way, if you call him 'Itou', he's gonna be double-taking.
Age: 20-21 or thereabouts. Canon is very vague. I'm taking him from the end of the anime / the end of the first manga series.
Height: Tall enough to stand out; taller than the average Japanese man, at least.
Medical Info: Skinny. He doesn't eat very well. Other than that, remarkably hardy.
Eyes: Black.
Hair: Black and shaggy.
Physical traits: Well, a face like a hatchet for one (he's actually one of the better-looking members of his canon, believe it or not). He also has a thin horizontal scar running underneath his left eye, and somewhat mangled left ear, though the hair hides it. The number 21 is branded into his left arm (technically this is manga canon but I'm adopting it anyway, the only reason it's not in the anime is cos apparently Kaiji getting held down and branded by a bunch of yakuza guys is Too Hot For TV). He also has thin scars around all four fingers on his left hand ,making it look like they were sewn back on at some point. Though the stitches are out, it's in my headcanon that he still has limited movement and sensitivity in those fingers; he's still healing.
Abilities: None. (*sob*) He's thoroughly, painfully human.
Notes for the Psychics: Though he's not a big talker, Kaiji's always thinking. Any mind-reader walking by is likely to get an earful, mostly along the lines of him trying to figure out what everyone's ulterior motive is (because surely everyone has one!). Or you might alternatively hear him musing at length about essential human nature. He can get rather philosophical when he's pressed. At any rate, he's a very talky sort of quiet guy -- and he also has a tendency to think in extensive visual metaphors (a forked road to represent making a choice, leaping over a chasm to represent taking a risk, seeing his enemies as demons or himself as a pathetic little mutt), so you'll probably get an eyeful as well if that's how your telepathy works.
Touchy Topics: He's a pretty emotional person, but the only things really guaranteed to set him off are all related to individual characters from his canon. He is also a pretty trusting person, and so he does not handle betrayal well (but then, who does, really?)
Can I shapeshift/bodyswap/spit at/step on/etc?: Sure, why not, everyone else does. XD Just ask me first for anything like shapeshifting and bodyswapping.
Maim/Murder/Death: Sure, why not, everyone else does Please ask.
Cooking: Well, he's lived on his own for about 3 years, so presumably he can at least cook ramen without poisoning himself. I think he would really like cooking, if he got the chance. Getting to experiment with food hasn't been an affordable luxury for him.
