Do you know what the problem is with this society? Excuse me, sorry...do you know what one of the MANY problems is with this society?
Most of us are 'born christian' and continue that way until/unless we figure out that...
(1) Its not our thing (perhaps some of us think its bullshit)
(2) There are MANY other religions in the world
(3) There are so many other reasonable options
This is very much like one of our other many problems:

(1) You can fall in love with someone even if they do/don't have a penis/vagina
(2) Cum in one's mouth is disgusting and kissing girls is awesome (or insert personal situation here)
(3) Its not 'normal' or 'better' to be straight
I went to a talk on Intelligent Design v. Evolution today, talking about what they are trying to do. Those nutters want Intelligent Design to be taught IN THE BIOLOGY DEPARTMENT at UW and in universities everywhere. They're fucking nuts. You can't research it, you can't prove it, it is NOT scientific!
And honestly, this is not about religion and science or religion versus science, this is about politics. Bullshit politics.
Its wonderful if you believe it, its awesome if you have found something you really believe in and feel strongly about it and it floats your boat. But it has NO place in school. Evolution is based on FACT. Goodness sakes...
This is the article that came out in Nature about the whole ordeal. The biggest group of Intelligent Design advocates in the nation is in Seattle...CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT??
