Hi. Yeah, I don't know what to do (or how to predict) when the urge makes me want to post again here either.

FIVE THINGS THAT HAVE HAPPENED OR CHANGED RECENTISHLY THAT LONG-TERM READERS MIGHT NOT KNOW.

1. I never ended up getting rid of Wrigley. And I am living in my second dogful portland household, and it's great. He cracks me up by finding long-forgotten cough drops in roommates' bags and sometimes waking up slower than I do in the morning. I'm so glad he's still my boy, and tell him so when we go to sleep at night.

2. I am helping to organize the portland zine symposium. You should be there this year. all of you!

3. Part of organizing means that I met the woman behind Craftypod and Spinsterspin, which I thnk probably would excite some of you. Also, she's rad.

4. I only owed VW $1500 after they auctioned off my car. And every single day I..wait, actually, I don't worry at all what that did to my credit rating. Fuck 'em. They were scary when they called the other day, though.

5. I am attempting to find an art studio space for $100/month or less. Hey, it might happen.

FIVE THINGS THAT NEW PEEPS WOULDN'T KNOW

1. I used to play in a ska/funk band called the Jesters. i still have that orange shirt you see on the cover of ...Which is Nice.

2. The reason I don't list any of you as friends is that I made all of my old entries friends only (because I want them to be for my eyes only) and I wasn't about to make every single entry private, manually. I also thought I might read fewer journals this way Ha!

3. I miss playing baseball. A LOT. Every spring. Not softball. BASEBALL. I've even considered doing this. I never made my high school team, but I can still hit pretty well.

4. My dad has been married four times, but only to three women (he married my stepmom, got divorced, and married her again).

5. I had a crippling hip-bone disease when I was young (god, that info has harrowing facts about my future! sheesh!), and spent almost 2 years on crutches with a crazy brace on my legs and a weight tied to the end of my leg every night. The janitor used to carry me up the stairs every day so I could take third grade reading classes as a second grader.

FIVE GOOD RELATIVELY NEWISH...NEW GOOD STUFF

1. The Band of Horses CD. I may as well link to the pitchfork review, as you might think I am a hipster bandwagon dickface anyway. But yeah, it's great. It sneaked up on me like so many other favorite albums have.

2. I recently did this with my main email account. It's been AMAZING. I have exactly one email in my inbox right now!

3. The new platform we are using for my online courses IS AMAZING.

4. A postcard in my po box and a letter at home from the same girl, on the same day.

5. Playing D&D again. Dwarven fighter-clerics of Fharlanghn say HOOOO!

FIVE OTHER THINGS

1. I can't wait until the next time you get mail. Yes, you!

2. Approximately 70 sleeps. Holy.

3. I am pissy because Erin got me a subscription to the Believer and I haven't gotten an issue since I moved out of St. Johns. Y'know, in September or something. Fuckers.

4. I am really proud of grammallama for her recent successful venture (that i would mention but it seems all those entries are locked down).

5. My favorite new list on 5ives. I also would like to do this some day.
