A short one
The fires are still burning in California and the winds have brought the smoke to the Pahrump Valley. Wednesday we awoke to barely being able to see the mountains around us. The haze was bad and the smell of the smoke kept most people indoors.
I feel bad for the people who have lost their homes and also for the firefighters who have to be fighting the fires. We have the smoke but not the heat which is something they have to deal with.
Wednesday night and Thursday morning we had strong breezes which may move the smoke onward. Billie & I went into town (Las Vegas), putting our applications in at various places. I still feel that any job we get will be thru people that we know and not thru the Union.
WW & I are both sick again (still). She was resting most of the afternoon. I spent time out in the shed staining my pieces of wood for another unit to the TV. Got that finished and started nailing items together. Ran out of sunlight, came inside, sat down, started falling asleep.
I will probably need to set my alarm to wake me to watch 'Survivor' tonight. The couch will probably be my abode for the evening, due to my coughing. No reason for 2 people to be awake all hours of the night, at lease caused by some one else's coughing.
