The dark side of the force is calling....
With next year's general election approaching, and many of us wondering what to do about out slug-like freshmen congressman, I was somewhat surprised to get called for an interview.
A prominent local D with some cash wants to run as the democrat, hopefully taking on our repo in the fall. Wants me to be his media guru-jack of all trades, etc.
So out of loyalty to a local pol and friend of mine, I reach out and ask, "once and for all, are you gonna run in the 5th?" My loyalty would be with my friend, but I told him if I'm in, its not on the sidelines."
Right now there are a lot of calls going around amidst the local dems.
But it's funny to have two candidates competing over me, and I didn't even solicit the work. Am I realy to go back to the dark side. A campaign is the most fun you'll ever have that you could have donw without. In campaign years, I barely watch a baseball game, sometimes couldn't even tell you where the yanks stand. I'm sensing a lot of bad food, long hours, and fear and loathing on the menu for the next 10 months.
