I just heard that ChevronTexaco is buying Unocal. Thank goodness! I've been worried for a long time that there was too much competition in the gasoline industry. By eliminating yet another provider, Chevron has helped ensure a higher price and fewer choices for the consumer. Which is good because we all know that gas has just been wayyyy too cheap of late.
Heaven forbid that a plethora of providers would create a free market and competitive pricing.
Here's hoping that I get to pay $3 a gallon for the cheap stuff no later than June!!!
