Someone remind me why I wanted to be so busy over Wintersession??
No, actually, don't bother, I remember why.
It's all fun, just tiring and too much. And it's hard to work on the things I don't have specific sessions for (i.e. teaching myself javascript and applying and stuff like that).
But I did work on that a bit today, after WAC's wonderful meeting. WAC (Wellesley Association for Computing) is getting an early start on the musical this year for Cirque du CS!
And we're going to involve profs (um, that's not supposed to be a secret, right?) We already have two or three.
At least rehearsal tonight was short - 20 minutes! Of course it was at MIT. This was my perfect chance to go to jujitsu, and leave a little early since rehearsal started at 9:10. But I decided to not go since that I wanted to do other things. Which was a good choice in retrospect, though I'd told Kate I'd be there.... oh well, she'll forgive me, she's cool like that.
And our rehearsal was for my favorite song! The Evil Bunny Song. It's sort of all about killing bunnies in various ways. Sounds like my kind of song, doesn't it? I suggested we squash a live bunny on stage, but people didn't seem too enthused about that. (Ok, I like bunnies, and wouldn't want to squish them, it just sounded funny at the time. There would also be all the blood and fur to deal with, and... I'll stop)
HD tomorrow at 8:30, so I should go to bed soon... but I overslept again, till 11, so I know I won't get to sleep very easily. And I'm always too lazy to get ready for bed, y'know?
I really shouldn't complain. Overall, life is good. Today it was warm-ish, with a cloudless sunny sky. I've been (illegally) parking my car in the parking garage, originally due to weather concerns, but now because I'm lazy and there are PLENTY of spots. And I haven't gotten in trouble yet, and I doubt I will (it's just a $25 fine Mom, so chill ;)
Oh, and I can play my fav game (Battle of Wesnoth,
http://wesnoth.org) and pretend to (and actually) think about Robocraft tactics.
Anyway! You are ALL coming to see the musical, of course. Go here:
http://web.mit.edu/mtg/www/ for more info and to reserve tickets. It really is going to be awesome. And I even get to sing a 'Wah!' on my own. Sort of. So yeah, come and see me! And all the other cool people.
Night, all!
