GA experienced it's first significant cold front over the weekend and I found myself actually trying to preserve my body heat. Since running my heat at 75 degrees would cost me the AD&D equivalent of a suit of banded mail per month I opted to fight the cold with decidedly economical means.
I threw on a pair of many-sizes-too-large camo fatigues and the thickest t-shirt I had. Alone these were no match for my apartment's interior temperature of 54 degrees. What turned the fight around was the pair of +2 Socks of Warming I received from sultmhoor which grants a +12 bonus to my save vs. cold based attacks.
The XP from the victory was enough for me to level up. I'm an 11th level redneck now. It won't be long before I get henchmen.
