When Jim's getting worried about the height of the snow, you know there's a problem.

I hear the piles of snow are taller than he is!

(I too would be stuck in the middle of this, but my intuition drove me to take a job in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which has gotten next to nothing as far as snow goes in the past week. Go figure.)

That's because the wind comes sweepin' down the plain / And the wavin' wheat can sure smell sweet / When the wind comes right behind the rain....

Anyway, yeah, there's four big piles of snow in my parking lot that are each at least 10 feet tall. The one is probably closer to 12, though it did melt a bit today.

Which was nice, cuz it left a nice clear coating of thick ice in its wake....

Yow! Didn't realize you were way down yonder. Any chance you'll be in DC in the first half of March?

I'll be in Tulsa until March 7, and then Tallahassee, FL for about a week, finally arriving back home on March 16. Any chance you guys'll still be around by then?

...Oh dear God. Would you believe we're leaving *on* the 16th?

(Hmm. I don't suppose you're flying through Dulles? We leave at 5:35...)

The big laugh is that I head out to Tokyo the next day.

I'm driving back (with a stop in Charlotte, NC for the night)... Not really sure I'll make it back in time to even meet for a meal at the airport, though. :(
