Why I Am Frequently Pissed Off

Thank goodness there was coffee this morning.

It took me 1 hour and 50 minutes to get to work -- that's NOT counting the 4 minutes it took me to stop fo donuts for the meeting.

grrr, commuter hell

It takes me 1.5 hours every morning to get to work

In the evening it takes me 2.25 to get home. (on a good day)

Praise be the donut and coffee!

Yes, and I've done that sort of commute before -- and I'm here to tell you, i'd prefer a 1.5-hr commute where an hour of it is on the subway. I used to get a lot of reading done that way.

Sitting in stop-and-go traffic, wondering why you aren't moving because traffic updates NEVER include the route you're on, SUCKS. It's utterly wasted time.

I seem to recall hearing on the news recently that Americans spend, on average, the equivalent of 20 work days a year -- an entire month -- stuck in traffic. And the amount of carbon that goes into the atmosphere from that 20-day traffic jam hardly bears thinking about.

I humbly apologize, Seamus... I had been grousing to myself because my commute has gone up from 10 to about 20-25 minutes. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa...
