and advertisers live a life of luxury. £60k a year just to sit with a sketchbook and come up with ideas for adverts....
Spent the day at Ogilvy & Mather in canary wharf (research for an essay) chatting with the director of "tag" (an in-house repographic agency-well a few guys are in-house)
now those guys know photoshop...just seeing how they improve the look of the ford cars and comp them is pretty amazing. (if anyone remembers the advert where the car is going through a pinball machine....)
because I talk the talk, I got offered work experience...whilst I can do pretty difficult photo manipulation, I'm nowhere near as tight as those guys at it.
hmmm...might hold off the offer until next year and get some practise in!
