My days lately have been full of...hm, adventures lately.
Good and bad. Yesterday was a dramatic day for sure.
Well, it started out nice. I was hanging out with Alicia.
We went to Friendly's, saw McNear, blah blah blah.
Then we come back to my house to watch a movie.
I go in my moms room to say hello, and play with the cats.
I tried to pet Hiro and he freaked out.
He jumped to my mom and freaked out when she touched him too.
Then....he turned over....and we saw his side....
HUGE chunk of his fur and skin was missing.
You could see his muscles inside.
And when he moved, they moved.
And you could see farther inside.
It was by his leg so his leg looked as though it might fall off.
Grossest thing I have ever seen.
Naturally, we freaked out. Worried. Confused.
Ciara started to cry, thinking he would die.
Turns out, he could of...
Josh googled emergency vets.
We found one and rushed him there.
Doctor said it was severe.
We went home while they performed surgery for a few hours.
We got no sleep. Waiting for a call.
8 am we got one.
Doctor said he found twigs inside, and the cut was worse than he imagined.
But, Said surgery went well, we could pick him up at 10.
He has a tube coming out of his stomach, draining him.
He has tons of stitches up his stomach.
He has to wear a cone on his head.
(Poor cat. Not gonna lie though, he looks fuckin adorable.)
He has meds to fight the infection.
Doctor said he's young and strong and should be fine.
THANK GOD.
I may now be $900 in debt, but I guess it's worth it.
Not much else I could do. I'm just so glad he is okay.
Later that day Delilah gave birth.
Six kittens.
Well, five.
Sometimes with life and death go hand in hand.
And one of the kittens didn't make it.
It's a terrible thing. We cried.
Ciara more than anyone.
As sad as it is, sometimes it's just how things go.
And with everything that happened, I just thank God Hiro was okay.
Now, I love that cat more than I ever did.
He's a fucking trooper.
But after this, Delilah gets fixed.
We keep no more kittens.
Cause I don't know if I could deal with any more cat worries.
