I met wonderful people today. It started off normal, really. Benjineh and this guy named Chris came over for breakfast. While Anike went for a run, Nesirin and the rest of us stayed here and had some interesting conversations about nightmares and I don't really know what else, only that it was good shit.
Shana got here later on and would you believe that Chris plugged the power chord to Nesirin's computer(120v) into the power suply for the DSL Versalink modem (12v)? That poor sucker just fried!! We called Verizon and they are not only going to give us 7 days credit, but they are also going to start a fresh new month free. We should be getting our new modem on wednesday. Anywho...
At about 6pm, Isaac came and picked us up to go to a round table discusssion about the Left struggle in South Afrika and how the Imperialistic and Capitalist government is really aggravating the rest that was once there, since the fall of the Soviet Union and all that cgood shit. I met several interesting people including one very handsome Rahul and his partner Palak Shah. She was the bestest. Sh has actually written a book about the Prison system and the ongoing struggle of organizing and fighting it. I loved talking to her about it. She has also promised to lend me Kuch Kuch Hota Hai!! Im so excited!
So after that was over Benjineh, Isaac, Anike, Elena, and I took off to 27 School st. (home) Might I add that I gave the most horrible directions in the history of direction giving and we ended up going around in circles...grr...
Anyway when we got home it was cool because not only were Nesirin and Mejah (Nesi's partner from tanzania)home, but they were with Suzanne and Alex, two very chill friends of theirs. We all chilled there for a while untill Isaac and Benjineh decided they wanted to keep the party going and they took Elena with them. The rest of us stayed home and the highlight of the night was when Alex said to me that I looked like I could be Punjabi. Oh my gosh I don't know how I didn't CRY! Maybe I was reading too much into it but he was also talking about me to anike, he did this kind of pointing movement to me a sort of thumbs up. Was that like, his Idea of a seal f approval. Believe me it was really wierd.lol..But It was very chill.
After they left, Nesirin finished making her cinnamon buns and ultimately ended up burning them a bit. But they still delicious. Hahaha! I just rememberred. At one point Anike came out of her room and was like, "Yo soy una pregunta". Nesirin and I were CRACKING UP!! Just so you know, what anike said in English is, "I am a question." So now you can see my logic. We were rashing on her because it was a very DEEP thing to say. That girl is crazy I swear.
So, Dates to remember?
