A REAL drabble - 100 words exactly!

“I’m well pleased to be rid of this place,” Holmes grumbled, shrugging against the collar of his coat, which stuck to his neck in the uncomfortable heat. “How anyone can live in such uncivilized conditions, I will never understand. I believe we’ve found the very antithesis of London.”

Watson turned away from the train ticket counter just in time to watch a large glob of phlegm hit the dirt mere inches from Sherlock’s polished but dusty shoes. “I don’t think it’s really all that different,” he said, catching sight of the culprit.

“No,” Holmes allowed grudgingly. “I suppose it isn’t.”

Silence.

“Come on, guys,” Percy continued. “If you let me pick we’re having wings. Greasy ones. With French fries and ranch.”

Nico put his paintbrush down with a sigh. “Annabeth, he’s talking again.”

“Chinese is fine, Percy,” Annabeth said, not looking up from her blueprint.

Percy frowned. “I’m right here, you know.”

“Annabeeeeth,” Nico whined, glancing plaintively at her.

“Whatever you want is fine, Percy.”

“I’m so throwing you under the bus next chance I get,” Percy said to Nico as he left the room.

“Love you too.”

100 words of Uther, Igraine, and Nimueh.

One day Uther kisses her. Igraine has kissed him before - he is, after all, her husband - but what makes this kiss different is that there are other people in the room. Only Gaius and the lady Nimueh, her King’s close friends, but the move is so bold and affectionate that for a moment she can do nothing but stand still as a post before remembering to kiss him back.

Later, she catches the sorceress’s eyes as she leaves the room. Nimueh scowls in that restrained, almost placid way, as if she thinks Igraine won’t notice.

Igraine can only smile back.
