Dolor de oido: Puddle o' words

Who remembers "The Voyage of the Mimi"? We had to watch it in fourth grade. All I remember is that Ben Affleck was in it and someone almost died of hypothermia, which I remember thinking at the time was almost amusing. Does anyone else feel obligated to always cut the plastic 6-pack things? You know, the ones that can strangle cute animals.

My gym locker sophomore year was D109

I now present you, humblest LJ reader, with selections from my 7th grade "Poetry Project"

above the highest
tree, a little sparrow sits,
watching the magic.

------Damn, the next poem is so junior high------

His fingers of silver grasp
Onto my delicate teeth,
Pulling and pulling,
Farther away.
His gangly arms torture me,
Until I can take it no more.

Who knows what a "tanka" poem is? Because I have no clue, but apparently the following is

leaves gently flutter
over land bursting with life
swaying, rhythmically
to the pounding beat of wind
as if the leaves were dancing

can't stop, won't stop the beat...
