Severus's snark is of course the best thing about him. I hate fics where he loses that sharpness, so I'll try to be true to the moody bastard, lol!

I've seen this fic posted everywhere, and I'm starting to become more accustomed to slash (more specifically Harry/Snape) so I thought I'd give this fic a try. I definitely enjoyed this first chapter. You get Snape's voice very close to how I imagine him--snarky and full of dry, clever wit. This line especially stood out to me:

He'd been living most of his life in want of company. Want of it hadn't killed him yet.

That's so apt for his character. Well done on the first installment. On to chapter two.

I've done this in other fics where there's a journey before you get to the final pairing with other pairings occuring before that, so be prepared, but I'll definitely try to make it worth your while.

And yes, getting Snape's voice is important, because that's what makes him so sexy!

Oh goodness, I rely on spellcheck so much now. Even with beta-readers stuff still sneaks through. You know, I *almost* proofed it as I went along, but was too caught up in it to slow down, honestly!
