For the last few days it has been somewhat warm considering we are well into October already. This makes for wonderful foggy days.

An October fog when the leaves have turned all shades of red and yellow is amazingly comforting a sight. Combined with the (relative) warmth, the outdoor air feels like the fuzziest of soft blankets imaginable. The

Umm. This is awkward. You see, I don't do poetry. Not me. And still you are not the first to make that accusation. Hmph.

I have always liked autumn. It is time of serenity, in contrast to the frantic fruitfulness and multiplication of spring and summer.

...my favorite season as well. 'Course autumn down here, won't be until late November. Today, Oct 5, it is 91 degrees F (32.7 C)with 61% humidity.

All through August and early September is was 102-104 F(38-40 C). Ugh..

Then finally we have this LONG, SLOW, gentle progression to winter. Autumn is wonderfu.

You know, Finnish Meteorolgical Institute has an official definition for temperatures over +25 °C (77 °F). Those are called "extremely warm". And when it gets much above that, I will become rather useless for any physical activity.
