I only got to reading weekend's news. It must be a summer trainee that is writing the newswires at the Finnish News Agency STT.

Headline: "A flaming car crashes into airport terminal"

In the body text: "[...] The car burst into flames in the crash. [...]"

If the car only ignites in the crash, it is not a flaming car when it crashes into the terminal. The story was written in very good grammar and had good flow. Except for the timing discrepancy between the headline and the body text.

In my opinion, logic and reason are as important in writing as grammar and ortography. Except some sorts of artsy poetry and postmodern prose.
