So yesterday Kallie and everyone was in my room and we were all just chilling, playing with autumn, (we got a kitten btw) etc. I hear Jill run from her room and she urgently knocks on the door. I open it, and she gives me a huge awkward Jill hug saying, "congratulations!!!" And I was just like... "Uhhh... what’s going on?" and she tells me that I got second chair in the symphony orchestra. At this point, I'm clearly elated, but the awkwardness of the situation just kind of threw off my excitement haha...

Ether way- words cannot describe how amazing it is to actually get an audition that you want, and worked your ass off for. I really can't even explain it. I cannot even count the hours this summer that I could have been partying or sleeping in or anything else that I spent practicing or driving to Hampton for another lesson so that I could get in to this orchestra. The weird thing with me is that it's like my conscience knows when and audition is un-failable. My Berklee audition and this audition were almost like mechanical in the sense that I was in autopilot but in my mind, I was still freaking out. If we are still playing the score from ET, Jessy can now dress up and run around with a glowing finger. I cannot wait.
