My only problem is that they don't explain HOW their system is going to work.

I did read it all. And it doesn't say anything about how this will work. It says alot about what it's suppose to do, but now how it will work. Will we all suddenly give up the plans we have? Who runs it? How does it actually run? Does the money come out of our taxes, or do we pay for it seperately? Do have to get an okay to spend money on this new system? What about elective procedures, how are those going to be handled?

my problem with it is i don't know how the government can afford to pay for heath care. SS is already on the road to big financial problems, what would happen if we added heath care?

I think we should wait till we take care of the national debt before we talk about national heath care

Ah, but it's better to support it and keep it up there to be effective when the time is right, than to do nothing and let it die.

If we let this bill die, morale for the whole idea of Universal Healthcare will die as well. Washington is unlikely to do something this .. good .. again (not without huge financial incentive and that just makes things worse).

This House Reform is out there now and we need to support it, we need to keep it alive so that when the time is right for it, it can be passed and put into effect.

It's like supporting College, even when you're kids are in Kindergarten.

Like I said, showing support for the bill is better than letting it die forever.

not supporting it now will not kill the idea forever. As long as heath care costs are high it will always be an issue. We as a nation need to show finical responsibility and cut back on spending and tell our leaders in Washington that we don't want to burden our children with a huge debt that could destroy our economy/country. We need to get our priorities in order. We pay very high taxes yet we have such high debt, why? Because we spend and borrow way too much! We need to get that under control.

You cant start saving and investing un till you have started getting rid of your debt.

Trust me the idea is not going to die, this issue is to big to die because of one vote. i think it should be put on the back burner. Especially when you consider how if we don't fix the debt we are all going to be screwed in 20 years with the baby boomers and SS, medicare and medaid. No need to add heathcare to that mess intill its fixed.
