In order to avoid studying for my final, and in celebration of my resourcefulness and ability to set up the internet all by myself - an update of the past few days.

Well, two weekends ago, I decided to have a party at the house - it turned out decent, work people came and that was awkward to see them outside of the white shirts, ties, and somewhat respectable attitudes. It was a random group of people, we made punch, and the best part - Gerry and Brantley walked over here and a little kitten followed them, and she's been here ever since. Taylor and I made signs around the neighborhood to no avail, but they said things like "has fleas" and "we really love her, so only call if you're seriously missing her". Her current name is Paris Hilton Cat - she crashed our party, is skinny, is grateful for what she has now since living life on the streets, she's a little cross-eyed, she loves attention, and she's fabulous. But, she's also known as 'Ghostface kitty', but only when acting up and mainly only called that by Dylan. Lindsey named her "Tammy Faye Baker", but Paris is the one that's the most fitting. We're taking her to the vet this week, and she's pretty much the best cat in the world. She sleeps with me at night, plays during the day, and is so affectionate. Walker's going to keep her for the fall, and then I'll have her for the spring. I put her on craigslist, but no one claimed her there either - I think she was meant to live here.

Class is almost over - Tomorrow morning is my final. I'm so ready to be done with science. I hate the going to school all day/work all evening lifestyle. I did my final presentation today, and I think it went really well.

Last Saturday night, Walker, Kevin, and I went to a party at Walker's friend Landrie's house in Austin - it was such a fun night. We went to dinner at Mangia before the party. It was in honor of Kevin's friend Taylor's birthday, and we played drunken Jenga.

Their neighbors were having a 'black and white' party for some girl's 21st birthday, so Kevin crashed that party and came back with a cookie cake. We all decided to go over there, and proceeded to meet many, many bros who were taking shots of malibu while the drunk girls who were wearing slutty Dillard-Junior's-Section-ish low cut polyester tops with cigarettes in between their boobs befriended Walker and Kevin.

The week was full of work - I made decent money, but nothing really exciting happened. I hung out with Rohan a few times, and he made dinner on Tuesday night. I had the best bike ride the other day - it flooded in Georgetown las Wednesday because it rains every single day now - and I rode my bike down to the river to see the aftermath. I also saw a wedding at SU, many kittens, and lots of my cute neighbors. It's going to continue to keep raining this week, and it's nice not to have a super hot summer, but I wish the weather was better so that I could take advantage of going to the river more often. Nick is all moved out, and it's strange not to come home to him anymore, but he's still over here a lot.

On Friday, Eric came up - the boys played music and we all hung out at the house. I worked on Saturday morning, but Sam, Lindsey, and Kevin came over and Walker made dinner for everyone. We hung out at the house for a long time, but then decided to venture over to the Sig house. Walker, Eric, and Kevin wrote three new songs, and it was a really fun night.

I had to work on Sunday morning - the shift from hell, but Lindsey, Anne, Sam, Rachael, and Russell all came in to eat before the rush started. I came home and Blake was here - the motherfucker has the MOST BADASS furniture in the entire world now! It's like a real house, with a purple ottoman, foosball table, and a traffic light. I went to dinner with Grandpa, Walker, and one of Grandpa's friends at Santa Rita last night - it was good to see him, but always a little sad. I rearranged the living room today, and it looks so much better. Also, Eric's mom hired a lawn crew today, and the trees are no longer covering up the house. I was up so late in the computer lab last night working on my project, and then went over to Colin's to celebrate Canada day.

I'm nervous about my final tomorrow, so I should get to studying. My bio partner makes 100 on everything and it's depressing, so I might go study with him in hopes that his knowledge rubs off on me. I'm going to see Sicko tonight with Walker and Colin.

The house is so quiet when I'm here alone - but having Paris Hilton jumping around helps. Yesterday she ate cornbread that Walker made - but other than that, she's pretty well behaved. She won Eric's heart over too.

Paris! Not the best picture, she's really adorable all of the time though. I need to have a photo shot soon.
