School summarized: I like basically all of my classes, but for German, but I do like the professor and so far class hasn't been too horrible. I'm getting really into my Nations and Nationalism and my Political Philosophy: Marx and Tocqueville classes, a lot of the material we are currently studying applies to both classes really well. I'm so happy that I dropped Japanese Politics this semester because I'm already getting so much more out of Political Philosophy. Public Policy is alright so far, nothing very eventful has happened, the professor used to be in the Navy and seems like a bad ass though. I'm excited for my research project in that class, it's most likely going to be on tax law. Ethics with Hopkins is, of course, great. I like having him again, and the class is interesting (plus, it has Lindsey and Noah). I'm not too sure about the rest of the people in class, a few stand out as being potentially annoying, but it's interesting material so that will make up for the possible comments. I'm all caught up on my work and reading so far, even ahead in one class. I think it'll be a good semester. I also had telecounseling training this week and found out that I am going to be blogging for SU! I'll have my own section on the website, with pictures, and I get to basically translate this LJ to in a cleaner version for prospective students to read. I'm really excited about it as well as to start working in the TC office again. I'm also really liking Tri Delta right now, we had a productive philanthropy meeting and I think we'll get to work on some cool projects this year. I also joined Seak... basically so that the Seak mafia wouldn't get mad at me.... oh yeah, and because I like the environment. My suite is amazing, my roomie lays out my pj's for me, the decorations are coming along, and living on this side of campus is much more active than the 'bee.

Tuesday night --- Dinner party at Will and Jerrad's! The boys made us salmon, vegetables, salad, corn, and we learned proper wine tasting from Alan. The food was amazing, probably the best meal I've had in a long time. It was a really fun group of people, just sitting around talking and enjoying the wine and food.

Wednesday night --- Study Break! I had so many meetings on Wednesday, with work, Seak, and Tri Delt, but study break was a good one. Rachael and I went to Stephanie's for some NMW and then to the Sig house. There was not too many people, some dancing, and it was a really good time. Who Da Crunkest was played, but we think it's inaccurate because the BAC levels were much higher than any of else believed they actually were.

NMW with Emily.

Stephanie is pretty much our hero.

This picture explains study break so well. Oh, Russell.

Thursday night --- School, work, and then Suite/Hall bonding. I love living on Green Hall, we all just sat outside last night talking and doing homework on the couch. We're also looking into getting a kitten! Names were suggested and the two front-runners thus far seem to be "King John Sigren" or "Professor Hard Time". I hope the kitten comes to us soon, it would be so loved here on Green Hall.

Today --- Friday! I have only one class on Friday and it's at 9, so I have most of the day to run errands. I need to take my car to the shop, get Brooks' present together, and organize the mess I've made this week. Tonight we're having a suite-bonding dinner. I'm excited! Susannah is an awesome suitemate and I'm looking forward to getting to know her better. She spoons and watches reality tv with us, what is not to love?! Rachael Die is having a party tonight, so I'll probably go to that and then see if anything else is going on at the house or elsewhere on campus.
What a good first week.
