I had a bike accident yesterday, it was more embarrassing than anything, it's funny because I ride so far almost every day and I get hurt going across campus. My bike has to be taken to the shop because it's not shifting gears correctly and the chain keeps sticking. The handle bars and front tire both turned the wrong way, but Will came over and fixed those. My leg hurts from falling on it, it's bruised and it hurts when I walk because the bruise is on my knee. I had to nurse myself back to health by eating a lot of cheetos and deciding to stay in last night. Will came over and hung out for a little bit, so that was nice, it was a pretty bad day up until that point. I didn't go to work yesterday morning because I didn't feel well, then the bike thing, but today is going much better already.
I'm going to Kerrville TOMORROW. I'll only be there for the night because there's so much going on at SU this weekend and I can't afford to be off work for more than a day anyway. I'm not really looking forward to driving home and coming right back, but I do need to take a bunch of clothes home so that my closet will stop exploding as well as wash a huge pile of clothes. Plus, the reason I am going, to see Kyle, which will be great as well as to see Deanna for her birthday (a few days late). I'll probably leave right after work, get there about 7:30, so if you're in town, give me a call. I think I'll most likely be there for most of the day Friday and then will come back to SU at about 5 because this weekend is... Snakes on a Motherfucking Plane, Freshmen day, Sarah's birthday party, and I need to finish getting my room organized... speaking of which, Lindsey comes in today!
Anyone feel like writing a 5 page paper about Japan for me? It's not the paper I mind, it's the 100 pages of reading to do before hand about the rise of Japan becoming a democracy. It's more boring than it sounds. I got some done last night before realizing that I wasn't paying attention to anything I was reading. I hope that I'm not like this when school actually starts... oh fuck, I'm a sophomore in college.
I got two funny post cards from the Andrews when they were both visiting the west coast. I'm excited to see those boys in Austin in less than a week and even more excited for the fabulous parties that they will have in the den, part two. I have missed both of them and have enjoyed the conversations I have been able to have lately with each of them. It'll be a good year having them around, although, it will be strange to have to go all the way to Austin to see them, instead of upstairs.
Oh yes, and of course today is glorious because it's Andrew Thompson's birthday!... and 'It's Raining Men' is playing in my office right now.
