After her shift at 'Dite's had finished, Karla was also beelining towards Sookie's room. "I want to come!" she cried, bursting into the room. "Me! Me! I accept! And Warren, too!"

...She should probably run that by him, first, but whatever.

"Did you ask him?" Sookie asked, giggling at Karla's entrance. "Maybe he has all kinds of important plans and will have to decline."

Karla sniffed haughtily. "What could possibly be more important than spending this first Christmas with his girlfriend? Nothing, that's what," she declared. "If he even tried, I will dump his feathery ass into a sack and bring him along anyway."

Because Christmas was all about kidnapping the ones you loved!

...Bill, don't you listen to that.

"It would have to be a pretty big sack," Sookie noted thoughtfully.

"And his ass really isn't all that feathery," Karla noted, because it seemed important. "But it's the thought that counts, and I think he should spend his first Christmas with me, if for no other reason than so he's aware what I get like during the holidays."

She'd nearly said 'his first Christmas alone,' but she was pretty sure that was a tidbit between Warren and her. If Bobby had said something to Sookie, fine, but that wasn't enough to get her to say.

Sookie arched a brow. "Is there something you need to share about your tendencies around the holidays? You aren't like, a were-elf, or something, are you?"

"I'm very excitable," Karla informed her, as if Sookie hadn't already seen that for herself about a bazillion times.

"Ooooh! That's a good quality around Christmas," Sookie assured her with a giggle. "It'll be fun. There's about a billion of us coming, anyway."

"Who all did you invite?" Karla asked, since this was very important. She needed to make sure she had gifts for everyone on Christmas morning.

"You, Warren, Emma, Bobby, Raven, Jono, Kennedy, Tara, Rinoa, Rilla, William, Jessica," Sookie recited quickly. "And you can drag along anyone else you'd like."

"Ben and Ender are both going home for the holiday," Karla said thoughtfully, not wrinkling her nose at Rilla's name. "I think everyone else either already has plans or doesn't celebrate. Besides, you pretty much invited everyone I would have asked to come."

"I have to figure out where everyone's going to sleep," she mused, frowning at the list. "Since it's hardly fair if some of the couples end up together and some don't. Especially with this many telepaths running around. The hormones in this group are going to be killer enough in close quarters." And if there was blushing at that, well, someone hadn't told her girlfriends about some important news, had she?

But that was okay, Karla was sending speculative looks Sookie's way, anyway. "Oh really?" she asked. "Any couple in particular you were thinking of?"

"Nice try," Karla said. "Though I suppose if you wanted to play coy, I could always ask the walls what they remember..."
