OVERALL:

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
i feel like i wrote really little, but then i wrote like two long ones so i guess i wrote a little more than i expected? mostly because i didn't think my long fics would get so long, yknow.

Did you take any writing risks this year?
i tried to write some more horror-ish fics this year although they were two drabbles only, but that was a pretty big risk for me because i'm so used to just writing fluff. also, burdens and broad shoulders required a lot of research because i wasn't as familiar with seungcheol as i was with sojung. i had to read interviews, watch things with seventeen and etc. to make sure i got his characteristic as realistic as possible.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?
definitely nct mainly because i didn't think they were going to debut this year. also, wjsn, but i fell in love with the girls around secret promotions and stumbled upon a taeyong/bona manip and found the pairing cute.

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the new year?
i really want to finish my cops and robbers kaistal fic, but it's proven to be harder to write them knowing that they're actually going out. i can't tell why, but i really do want to finish it or else i'm gonna end up writing it until like 2020. i also want to venture into more fandoms because i follow a lot of artists, but i definitely do not write them especially bts. i love them, but i've never written them for some reason.

BEST AND WORST:

My best story of this year:
i think burdens and broad shoulders was definitely my favorite. writing gen fics is something i love doing, and sojung was such a heartbreaking character to write because i know how much she struggles in real life with issues regarding her talent and charms. it also helped me get to know seventeen a little more!

my most popular story of this year:
burdens and broad shoulders got the most kudos, so i'm guessing a lot of people enjoyed that.

Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion:
i sort of wish more people were into nct or something because forgive was a really interesting piece, and i was really satisfied after i wrote it. there's more to the story that i've thought of, but i don't know if i'm ready to start like a continuous fic right now.

Most fun story to write:
i'm gonna be honest and say always because dang, i've never written anything with so much innuendo and hot moments before?? like that was new for me, and it was just fun.

Story with the single sexiest moment:
i would say always, but always was just sexy althroughout because it's basically about taeyong and bona having secret sex backstage, so i'm gonna give this to the rest is still unwritten where taekwoon and joohyun are making out, and then it fades to black to let the readers imagine what happens next ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters:
only seventeen really helped me appreciate yeri more. she's so young, and she's been dealing with so much. i've basically become the leader of #yeriprotectionsquad now.

Hardest story to write:
burdens and broad shoulders had me wanting to rip my hair out because i wanted it to be so accurate to real life and the idol world. also, it was not easy trying to come up with an ending to this fic. i had to ask around and get help from others, and i'm still not completely satisfied with the ending ?? like i also sometimes think maybe it would have been better if it hadn't gone romantic towards the end, but at the same time i like the lovey dovey scenes i got to write. it just had me thinking a lot.

Biggest disappointment:
i wanted to write so much more for the rest is still unwritten like i had to scrap so many ideas because of time as well as fear that it would just continue to drag and drag. i also felt that they got close a little too fast? which is why i wanted to write more. there was a lot of conflict within myself while planning that fic out. there was more angst planned as well as fluff, but it just sort of got scrapped out.

biggest surprise:
we're all mad here was less creepier than i wanted, but i didn't exactly dislike it either. like it was my first time going for a sort of creepy/eerie mood, and i think i did a decent enough job!

Most unintentionally telling story:
i think burdens and broad shoulders really ended up telling a lot about sojung. more than i would have expected.

WIP TEASERS:

kai/krystal (cops and robbers... i shall finish one day)
"Oh right. I almost forgot. This is Kim Jongin I’m dealing with. Looks like I’m not the only one that’s changed. Weren’t you the one that was always talking about how you wanted to rebel? How you wanted to be so bad? Go against what everybody demanded of you?”

She’s leaned in too close for him to be comfortable, her lips hovering over his.

“Isn’t that why you liked me so much?”

seulgi/jhope/wendy/rapmonster (bts + red velvet 94-line)
Life was unfair. Seulgi learned this at a young age when she came home, and there were red stickers on all her furniture and clothing as well as her father’s shoes nowhere to be seen. She learned this when her mother came home, her eyes dilated and speaking nonsense. She learned this when all her friends had the newest phone, and she was stuck with the same old flip phone that used to be her father’s way back when. Life was unfair, and she was going to have to live with it.

leo/irene
When Taekwoon turned to the drug business, it only took Joohyun a couple months to realize that something was up.

yeri-centric
yeri may be young, but she certainly wasn't dumb. she knew that there were people out there that simply didn't like her. being called talentless was so 2015, and she's gotten so used to that word that it doesn't even bother her anymore.

i also hope to write more fandoms this year!
