All in one post:
Semi to full hiatus for vacation from the 5th to 16th of December. I apologise in advance for flakiness or a complete absence as the internet situation might be iffy. This affects Cindy, Tiffany Aching and Guy of Gisborne--who may be tagging in at 1 comment a day from a different time zone. You can contact me by PMing the

To me the biggest thing about Young Justice is its scope--it feels like this is the animated series DC has been waiting to make ever since Batman: The Animated Series showed them what it could do 20 years ago. This show has almost everybody--the 6 core members of the team, two satellite members in Roy and Zatanna, 16 members of the Justice League, two different secret supervillain groups plus assorted individual heroes, villains, and backup characters... It's like DC learned from Justice League Unlimited and Batman: The Brave and the Bold that if they have all these characters, they should probably use all these characters--not even just a double handful, but all of them. And with such big casts, they can tell big stories.
But it's not just quantity (which admittedly appeals to the superhero nerd in me)--there's tons of quality to go along with it. As befits a show about a bunch of teenagers, there's drama--about keeping secrets, about true loyalties, about relationships. It's produced by the man who invented the Xanatos Gambit concept, after all, so there's a lot of great storytelling complexity. It runs the gamut of emotions from funny to tragic and does so really, really well. And it has an all-around great voice cast. You can find it streaming here.
Any plans for your characters coming down the line?

Tiffany . . . No plans, really--though she might age up one day.
Guy has barely even scraped the surfaces of his issues. Which will be easier to do once I get home.

Any media recommendations? A show or movie you think I should watch, a book I should read? Just off the top of your head.

Rec me a comic book series?

But neither of those books are still coming out, so in terms of an on-going series? Definitely Atomic Robo, a book that manages to be consistently funny, thought-provoking, action packed, and above all funny. Yes, I listed funny twice, but that is right and proper for this book. Five 5-to-6 issue volumes have been released so far, and we're in the middle of Volume Six right now, but you can get a look at some Atomic Robo short stories right over here.
... and I'm running out of good question ideas, so here's a random silly one that I promise to never use against her, honest--is Cindy ticklish?
Reply
No, not really--someone who used to sleep with the mice and have them in her pockets wouldn't be very ticklish according to head canon.
Thor's favorite foods after pancakes?
Reply
I think probably roast boar, both because it's a good hearty Viking-esque meal, and also there's considerable challenge in going out and hunting them. But since Thor's gotten to Camp, I also like to think he's developed a fondness for giant Dagwood sandwiches like the one in this icon.
If your characters had to go somewhere else than their homeworlds after leaving Camp, where would they choose?
Reply
Tiffany would die trying to find her way back home. While staying on Earth and being a hippy witch.
Guy is not sure if dead dudes get another chance at life, but he would probably relocate to some medieval type world where he would not feel so out of place and where he'd actually have viable skills.

Ricochet is also already planning on going somewhere else (although he means it to only be temporarily before he would get Thor to take him home)--the DC Universe, of course! But if Earth-616 is closed, he'd stay in the DCU--as long as it's pre-DCnU.
Roy doesn't really know too many other worlds yet, but--big surprise--he'd either go back to the mainstream DCU proper instead of the Young Justice dimension... Or jump ship to the Marvelverse.
Answering this reminded me of a question, actually--do your characters get along with each other? (Or would they, if they haven't yet met in Camp?)
Reply
Nope, not very well.
Would yours?

So that leaves Roy, who I've yet to playercest with the other two. Roy will probably grudgingly respect Thor--it's hard not to, since he's so heroic and shiny--and Thor will in turn undoubtedly respect Roy's dedication to archery. Thor can also relate to Roy's temper and desire to prove himself, since he's struggled with those things himself.
Rico and Roy will probably not get along, mostly because Rico's lighthearted smartass routine will get on Roy's nerves--and Rico, realizing this and being a born instigator, will take every opportunity to tick Roy off because it's fun. For his part, Rico will think Roy deserves this for being a grumpy jerk much of the time--but like with Thor, Rico will consider it proper superhero professional courtesy to watch out for Roy when there's fighting going on.
Standard romance question--are your characters crushing on anyone in Camp?
Reply
Do your characters have crushes despite being mostly taken? And the new one too.
Reply
Rico is a tad more conflicted--canon has shown he's a skirt-chaser, and even though he genuinely loves his vampire!girlfriend, it's difficult being separated from her for 360 days out of the year. He is sort of crushing on Oracle/Barbara Gordon because her snarkiness reminds him of Asta, and while he's good friends with Supergirl, he wouldn't mind adding "with benefits" to that. Mostly he's trying really hard not to be a bad boyfriend while being surrounded by incredibly attractive women much of the time.
Roy hasn't really had time to develop a crush so far, but of the people he's met so far... maybe Power Girl? It's hard not to crush on her, really.
Do you have a favorite Camp moment?

Stealing from Machika--Frog of Thunder aside, what animals would your characters turn into if icons were not an issue?
Reply
I've always thought Ricochet would make an excellent raccoon.
Already two people have compared Roy to an angry tiny baby animal, either a puppy or a kitten. I'd go with kitten, myself--an orange tabby.

Tiffany is either a horse or a hare. She might not be too bothered by it after the first five minutes, so she doesn't get transformed.
Guy is a dog--one of those large wolf-hounds.
