Upstairs Rhinoceros and the Sexual Olympics
Man, I'll be glad to leave this apartment. I like Springs Colony a lot, and I'll be getting another apartment in the same complex when Andy and I get a 3-bedroom in mid-September. But no, Andy's the guy I've been doing the I Am Nerd podcast with. I've only posted about it here once or twice, so I wouldn't be surprised if you haven't heard about it. It's fun. Geeky news & movie reviews, lots of bad jokes. We switched to video format in January, and I've been in most of the episodes since then. I missed a few because of back problems and, later, back surgery.
I've been single since November. The break-up really happened Halloween night but took a few days to hash out. Steff and I are still friends, though. I moved back home for a few months until an apartment here became available. I live 5 minutes from work now, and I love it.
Let's see... Other big news. I had back surgery on June 4th. Fused two vertebrae and put an artificial disc in between them. I just went back to work 2 weeks ago, though I'm still adjusting and I've missed a few days because of back issues. At this point most of the old major pain is gone. My muscles have a lot of adjusting to do, and I'm rebuilding my stamina. The hard part now is reminding myself what I can't do yet because, for the most part, it doesn't hurt anymore.
