Norway - Oslo

Now, after some time, I am ready to write about Oslo.

I've been to Oslo two times.

First time I was hosted by Yuan - Chinese student. Our interest was a nature. We spent two days visiting parks and making food with a fire/on grill. That's was really interesting for me to see a lot of peeople who made grill right in Frognerpark. From the other side there is wild nature around Maridalsvannet and it is not allowed to make fire there... It is different from my past experience.

After two weeks in the beautiful countryside in the Fyresdal kommune, I came back to Oslo. That time I was hosted by a person who has no connection to CS community at all. But that was reaaly great experience. We visited music festivals and had discussions about everything which connected 'our' and 'their' countries.

I couldn't stay much in the city, so I was lucky to did really short hiking trip near the Oslo with Rakel and her dog (coolest dog in the world really).

Pros:

  • Oslo is the smallest city between capitals in EU. It has around 600 000 inhabitants, which is really cool
  • There are many parks, Oslofjord and a lot of forest around the city
  • People are generally nice, and there are a lot of opportunities for everybody

Cons:

  • There is a garbage on the streets. Some time there is a lot of garbage in a sleepy neighbourhoods
  • Many drug dealers and drug-addicted people :(
  • Too much loud after silence of the North

One pic here. Guess what am I doing?
