Happy Friday the 13th

On Wednesday night I watched the last episode of "Charlie's Angels" - 1x07 - as predicted it was a pretty standard episode that featured none of the ongoing storylines they were starting. So the show as a whole just kinda stopped. Shame really as I think it could have been a really good show with a little more effort. As it was I actually ended up kinda enjoying it although I won't be losing any sleep over it being over. Just a missed opportunity really.

ETA: apparently there's one extra "Charlie's Angels" left - in the US they only aired 7 out of the 8 completed episodes and E4 are showing the extra one. My TiVo series link didn't pick it up (which is weird as it's usually really good at that) and epguides.com only mentioned the US aired ones. (Thanks to my friend, Simon, for the heads up).

Last night I watched two episodes of "Psych" -  4x03 and 4x04 - I quite enjoyed them both and 4x03 had Jim Beaver in it. When I saw him I said "Bobby!" out loud. "Psych" is a fun show but I can never really think of anything to say about it.

After watching those I watched the 2nd episode of "Eternal Law" which I actually enjoyed a lot. It seemed better than the first episode. The ongoing storylines are quite interesting and I like the stuff between Zak and the other lawyer (I can't remember her name?). Obviously in his previous form Zak was in some kind of relationship with her and he had to leave abruptly. I'm interested in seeing how that plays out.

I'm not keen on Tobias Menzies' portrayal of the opposing lawyer (he's mean to be working for the Devil or something, right? Or he is the Devil?). He just overplays it so much and I don't think it works on the show - it should be more subtle. I think it would work so much better.

I'm gonna watch the latest US episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" and "Person of Interest" tonight. Looking forward to them both.

In other news: I've gotta go to college tomorrow to renew my First Aid qualification - I can't believe it's been three years since I last did it. I also can't believe I've got to go to college on a Saturday. I know a lot of people work on Saturdays but I don't. It's my time. Oh well, it's only for a couple of Saturdays so I'm sure I'll get over it.

random, tv: charlie's angels, tv: eternal law, tv: psych
