I wasn't gonna watch it til Saturday but I couldn't help myself.
Another really cool episode - this season seems to have started slightly better - and a lot more fun - than season two.
I really enjoyed the tension between Pete and Myka about her leaving - even though he was trying to pretend everything was okay everyone could tell that it wasn't. It was only when he was kid!Pete that Myka actually realised why. It was nice to see her apologise at the end too. That was sweet and, really, it was something that she hadn't done since she got back and she had to really (although I'm not entirely sure how long she was gone for).
Speaking of kid!Pete, how cute was he! Eddie McClintock played that perfectly. Even Myka commented how much of a cute kid was. Loved him telling Myka how hot and pretty she is. Aww.
I also really liked the scenes between Claudia and Jinks (are we calling him Jinks or are we calling him Steve?). Loved her thinking he was hitting on her, and the way they mentioned that he's gay was really well done. No big revelation or anything it just is. I wonder if he's gonna be given a love interest at some point. Or maybe he already has a boyfriend? Anyway, I think him and Claudia are really good together in a friendship way and I'm looking forward to more scenes between them. Incidentally, Jinks seems to have fitted in really well and I think the new dynamic is really working so far.
I thought it worked really well having two different cases too.
I know we're only two episodes in but I'm really enjoying this season already. I kinda miss Myka's curly hair though - and has she dyed it? It looks darker.
After that I watched two episodes of "Moonlight" - I was only gonna watch one but while the DVD was in there I figured I'd just watch another. I enjoyed it but at the same time I can kinda see why it got cancelled, although I'm only two episodes in so it's probably too early to tell really. Alex O'Loughlin was good but I think he's better (and sexier) as badass Steve McGarrett personally. Sophia Myles was okay but her US accent was all over the place. Sometimes she sounded really English. Actually couldn't they have just made her character English in the first place? I'm not sure if the chemistry between them is good enough either - it's okay but from what I gather their relationship is meant to be a really big part of the show and I don't think the spark is there.
Oh, and Alex O'Loughlin took his shirt off in one of the first scenes (I swear, it's in his contract) but they'd used make up to cover his tattoos. Disappointed. I like his tattoos.
I enjoyed it though and so far think it's well worth the £5.99 I paid for it. I'm interested in seeing what happens for the rest of it.
Than I watched the latest UK episode of "Falling Skies" - 1x03, I think - which was okay. Slightly better than last weeks so I think each episode is gradually improving on the last. Maybe in a few episodes time it might be really good? I think I'll stick with it now anyway. There's nothing else on on a Tuesday night.
In other news: Vicky and I are heading to Jo's this morning and we're gonna do another one of our TV show marathons. Today the theme is "timey wimey" and we're gonna watch some time travelly episodes of some of our favourite shows. I'm looking forward to it as we always have fun doing it, we get some food in, get the DVDs out and chill on the sofa all day. It's awesome!
