I've been watching the reruns of "The X Files" on Virgin1 over the past few weeks and it's reminding me how much I love that show and how important it was to me (and to other shows that followed) back in the day. Some of the episodes I hadn't watched in ages - like "E.B.E" the other week and last nights "Sleepless" - and didn't remember much of them but watching them again I realised how good they were. Weird, huh?
Also ITV2 have started rerunning "Primeval" from the beginning (apparently it's not good enough to renew but it's good enough to rerun) so I've started watching those again. Last night was 1x02 which I really enjoyed. It's weird watching it knowing what we now know. About Helen etc and about the anomalies themselves. It's hard watching it knowing that it doesn't end properly though.
I think I spent last nighs rewatch saying "aww, I love Connor" about a million times. I'm glad his character didn't change too much towards the end.
Speaking of reruns (seems to be all I'm watching these days) I've also been watching the season 2 "Supernatural" reruns on ITV1 (and the season 1 reruns on Living) and last night was "All Hell Breaks Loose Part Two". That finale is so great - the whole two parter is. In fact the whole of season two is awesome! Still my favourite season, I think, even though my favourite episode is from season three. "Mystery Spot" in case you're wondering. That episode is just perfect.
During the end scene of "All Hell Breaks Loose Part Two" I just wanted to give Dean a big hug. Awww.
I wonder when we're gonna get season five? I hope we don't have to wait too long. In fact I'm hoping for a January 2010 airdate.
Anyway, in other news: new "Chuck" was last night. Another great episode! The whole being undercover as husband and wife reminded me so much of "The X Files" episode "Arcadia" - the house they lived in and the neighbours were so similiar. Oh, and it also had the Bounty Hunter from XF in it. Weird fandom collision.
I really like the way the storylines between Team Bartowski and the Nerd Herders are running parallel this season. You can kinda see the gaps forming between Chuck and his friends at the Buy More, especially Morgan. I hope they don't grow too much apart. Incidentally, how does Chuck even still have is job at the Buy More? He's hardly ever there these days! Doesn't anyone notice that he keeps running off?
Great scenes between Chuck and Sarah - while I'm not a massive shipper of them two I do enjoy their scenes together a lot and I think it's become blatantly obvious now that she's starting to feel the same way about him. The sexual tension is just off the scale.
Unfortunately, Virgin1 screwed up their airing of it last night and ended up somehow cutting about 5 minutes out of the scene after Chuck saved Sarah by telling her to close her eyes. We went straight to the ad break after that and when we came back we were half way through the scene of them both in the yoghurt place. It was obvious we'd missed something so I had to go and find the episode online to try and find out what. I think they must have kept it playing during the adverts or something weird.
Anyway, I love Chuck Bartowski. He's just so adorable! He's working his way up my list of fictional boyfriends with every episode.
Speaking of TV (when don't I?). There's a couple of new shows starting soon that I'm interested in - "Harper's Island" which starts on BBC3 this coming Sunday with a double bill and "Warehouse 13" which starts next Tuesday on Sci-Fi. With "Medium" finally back this Friday my TV shedule is gonna be full.
Oh, you know I ordered that Delta Goodrem DVD? Well, I found it cheaper on another site so cancelled my order and got it cheaper instead. Hopefully the cancellation went through okay otherwise I'll end up with two of them.
