I'm back

So, it looks like I haven't posted in a while once again. My friend Dave passed away a few weeks ago so I guess I just haven't felt like posting. I'm gonna try and get back into the swing of things though and hopefully start posting a bit more regularly like I used to. I have kinda missed being able to put my thoughts somewhere.

I've been watching some summer shows - "Stitchers" season 3 is quite enjoyable, "Suits" season 7 has just started and I'm enjoying that (it's good having Mike and Harvey working together again), "The Night Shift" season 4 is quite good. I've also started watching a show called "Salvation" (I'm two episodes in) and I'm quite enjoying that too.

The "Hawaii Five-0" news broke a couple of weeks ago too, didn't it? I'm quite interested in how things are gonna work and how Chin and Kono are gonna be written out (I'm assuming Chin goes to San Francisco and maybe Kono continues the path she was on at the end of last season), especially as Adam has been upgraded to a series regular now. Should make for an interesting beginning to the season anyway.

Speaking of TV news: "Doctor Who" and Jodie Whittaker. I have to be honest and say that when people first mentioned the possibility of a female Doctor years back I wasn't convinced that it would work but now I think it's time for change. I think the show needs change anyway and why shouldn't the Doctor be a woman? Especially when you've had the whole Master/Missy thing. I just hope that it's done well - with a new show runner and a new kind of Doctor it's the perfect opportunty to make things great again (excuse the almost Trumpism). I'm looking forward to it - I just hope they don't screw it up.

I've also been following the football transfer rumour mill. I've never really done it before (even though I can probably say I've been a fan of football for years I just got back into the Premier League last season - and probably the end of the season before - after a long break) and it's kind of a rollercoaster, isn't it? Sometimes I just feel like people make things up for fun. I'm glad that Spurs have managed to keep their big players so far (apart from Kyle Walker but I think the writing was on the wall about that before end of the season) and hope they have have a good upcoming season. Speaking of Spurs, I stayed up the other night to watch their friendly against PSG (at 1am) and I'm glad I did. I know it was only a friendly but I enjoyed the game as a whole and I think the performance was quite promising (and I thought Eric Dier's goal was brilliant! Eriksen and Toby's were spectacular but I think the control on Dier's was something else. It looks funny at first but when you see it from a different angle I think it's quite impressive). I think I'm gonna stay up to watch their next friendly tomorrow as well.

I've also watched some of games in some of the tournaments this summer (the under 19's etc) and found them fairly enjoyable and have watched the two England games in the Women's Euros and found them quite enjoyable too. I've never been able to get into the women's game (although I don't know why) but England's games have been pretty good. I thought it was interesting in last nights when the ref pointed to the spot for a penalty but then changed her mind. I didn't even know they could do that but apparently it's in the rules.

Also, you know last summer my Mum and I walked the London Undergound? Well, this summer (now I've finished work until September) we're walking the London Overground which we started last week (there are pics on my facebook/instagram, if you're interested) and once we've finished that we're gonna do the DLR too. I think once we've finished those we'll have seen every part of London worth seeing.

It's felt good to make a long post again. I'll try not to wait too long for my next one.

tv: doctor who, football: general, walking the overgound, tv: hawaii five-0, tv: general
