I think this is it, I think this is the big finale

So, I for up this morning and watch the "Scream" finale first thing because of spoilers (incidentally, it appeared on Netflix UK at 8am).

Scream 2x12 (season finale)

Okay, even though the whole fandom on twitter is doing the "I knew it dance" I don't think I can really do that myself. I did suspect Kieran (he was one of like 3 or 4 people I suspected this season) but I wouldn't been that surprised if it was someone else.

I thought this finale was satisfying though (I think it was slightly better than last seasons) and I thought the reveal was really well done - as soon as Kieran showed up at the childrens home I knew it had to be him. There was no way he could have got there that quickly unless he already knew Emma was going there and I definitely didn't buy his "Noah triangulated the signal" business. And then when Eli showed up I had flashbacks of Stu and Randy from the first Scream movie. Of course then Kieran screwed up and incriminated himself by making a reference to the previous phone call between the killer and Emma. I thought that was pretty good though and Amadeus Serafini did a good job with it.

So, Kieran was working with Piper all along (Noah was right about there being an accomplice) which means I'm gonna have to do a rewatch of season one soon to see if there are clues there (although I think I did suspect Kieran a bit last year - the boyfriend being the killer is always plausible). I liked that they didn't kill him at the end because that was quite a nice change. I wonder what the phone call at the end was all about though. Was that Brandon James for real? Will there be a season 3?

I liked the scenes of them in the movie theatre - although I was getting very cross at them for splitting up all the time (I guess it had to be done for the killer reveal to work though) - and I especially liked Noah refusing to let Stavo in. It was the right call (again echoes of Stu trying to get in in the first Scream movie) because it was very suspicious that he showed up there when he did (which was obviously the point) and I liked the way Noah and Brooke worked together. Incidentally, I thought it was really cool that Brooke didn't think Emma and Audrey were the killers even though the evidence was there. Oh, and when Emma told Audrey she'd be right back! Lol! Why would she say something like that?

I also liked seeing Stavo upset when Brooke got hurt - that means a lot, right? He didn't get upset when his friend died, did he? I think that means he's gonna be okay. Or something.

To sum up, I've really enjoyed this season. I think it was quite a good step up from season 1. More suspense and more mystery I thought and some really good character stuff. I really hope we get another season - yes sometimes it can be campy and naff but it's a great summer show and I'm just glad my favourites made it out alive.
