So, over the past few days I did another rewatch of "New Blood" (watched case 1 on Wednesday, case 2 on Thursday and case 3 on Friday). I think I've seen every episode three times now. It just works so well when rewatched and I think I actually enjoy it more every time I see it which is weird. As time goes by I'm getting increasingly worried that we're not gonna get a series 2. I feel like they would have said something by now (but I don't really know. It's different with British shows). I almost feel like the BBC are just gonna not say anything and the show will be forgotten about and that makes me really sad. It's such a good show, it definitely deserves another series at least. I think it did okay in the ratings (combining iPlayer with live TV figures).

I'm not feeling optimistic at all right now but I hope I'm wrong.

In other news: Mum and I made a start on the District line yesterday and we did 12 stations which I thought was quite good. We went through three different London boroughs, Havering, Barking & Dagenham and Newham. Some of the places we walked through were quite nice but some were a bit rough but it's always nice to see different places, especially ones which we wouldn't normally visit. We also rode on the District line for a bit, I can't remember if I'd ever been on the District line before - I can't remember if I've ever been anywhere that required me to. Anyway, it was pretty cool to get those 12 stations out of the way although there's still a long way to go on this line.

I also saw an ice cream van selling lemon ice so I had to get one. Love lemon ice but you don't see it very often.

In TV news: last night I watched:

"The Night Shift" - 3x10 & 3x11 - I'm not sure why two episodes aired this week but there you go. I thought both episodes were quite good and I'm interested in seeing where things might go from here. I'm really glad they put this show back in the summer schedule this year as it didn't work last year when they aired it Feb-May instead. It fits much better in the summer when it doesn't have to compete with other shows as much.

"Suits" - 6x04 - I thought this episode was pretty good. I wonder what Mike's cellmate actually did (or what his father in law did). Is Mike gonna be able to go through with this, his cellmate (I can't remember his name, sorry) is the only friend he's made in there and making an enemy of him might be a really bad idea anyway. I think Mike needs to explain the situation to him instead of going behind his back but then I don't really know how that might end up given that we don't even know why he's in prison in the first place. I liked seeing Harvey worried about Mike (remember back in the early seasons when he tried to hide how much he cared?) and trying everything to get him out of there. I'm still finding some of the law business stuff a bit confusing but I think that's a me problem not a show problem. Looking forward to seeing how things play out.

I also watched "Chicago Fire" - 4x09 - which I thought was okay. I've got an episode of "Chicago Med" on my TiVo which I think ties in with the Herrmann storyline but I'm not sure which episode of this show it goes with. I'm gonna have to look at the airdates and see.
