The Met line

Mum and I made a start on the Metropolitan line today. We did 15 stations from Aldgate to North Harrow. Once we got to Aldgate we walked to Bank so we could get the DLR to the Greenwich Foot Tunnel because I just want to go and see it (I think it and the Woolwich Foot Tunnel are pretty amazing from an engineering point of view). After getting lost in Bank Station for almost ten minutes (I don't know how people can navigate that station on a regular basis) we got on the DLR for the first time ever (it's only been around for almost 30 years!) which was weird. I don't know if I liked it. We then headed back to Liverpool Street and started on our walk of the Met line. Luckily all the stations seemed pretty close together so it didn't take very long.

Oh, and just after I took the picture of King's Cross St Pancras I walked right past Ben Tavassoli who plays Rash in "New Blood" - I looked at him and said "I know that guy. He's in New Blood!" to my Mum. Obviously I was too scared to say hi and then it was too late and I wasn't about to chase after him. I guess it just didn't seem like an appropriate moment and if it wasn't actually him it would have just been a bit awkward for every body involved.

It was a bit random and reminded me of the time I saw Curtis from "Misfits" outside the station near work. I didn't say anything to him either (he was on his phone and it definitely wasn't appropriate).

Anyway, we're gonna try and complete the Met line before we start another - it might take a while because it goes into zone 9 at the other end and it branches off a few times.

In other news: I watched "Ant-Man" the other night - I thought it was okay and Paul Rudd was watchable as usual. I do wonder how it would have turned out if Edgar Wright hadn't left the project though.

movies: general, walking the underground, tv: new blood, tv: misfits
