Mum started to walk the Jubilee line yesterday - it's definitely a work in progress as we managed just 10 stations yesterday (although we still did twenty miles - the stations were quite spaced out). One more day of walking and we should complete that and then we can move onto the Met line.
Oh, and during the walk I also stumbled apon Rash and Stefan's apartment building from "New Blood" which was pretty awesome. I wasn't really looking for it but it was just there as we walked out of Stratford Station. Speaking of "New Blood", I watched the extras on the DVD. The deleted scenes were pretty good and it's a shame they didn't make the cut - there was a scene where Stefan explained to Rash why works for the SFO (which included some good background stuff about his Dad) that I thought was really interesting. I can kind of understand why it was cut (I'm assuming it was a timing thing and also the scene without that was quite funny and if this had been it in it wouldn't have been really) but it's still a shame that it was. Most of the deleted scenes featured Stefan and/or Rash so it was slightly disappointing that they ended up cut. Glad they're on the DVD.
And the making of was quite interesting too - I especially liked the bit when (creator) Anthony Horowitz described London as the shows 3rd main character. How London looks in this show is one of my favourite things about it.
Anyway, the DVD is worth purchasing for those features, I think, and the show is worth watching multiple times. I'm still cautiously hoping for a second series. I'm not feeling optimistic for some reason but I hope I'm wrong.
Last night I finished my rewatch of series 1 of "Primeval". The finale is still epic! Gonna make a start on rewatching series two soon. Sometimes I really miss that show.
