TV post (again)
Most of my shows returned this week (I am still quite behind on a few things though and just don't know if I can be bothered to catch up - I don't know if I want to give up on things either. I'm gonna have to give it some thought. I might have to make a list of the ones I'm behind on a see what I want to do about it).
Here's what I have watched this week:
"Quantico" - 1x14 - I thought this episode was okay, and things seem to be coming along quite nicely. I do sometimes find it hard to get the timeline straight in my head though with all the flashbacks and stuff. I think most of it works though. I'm still wondering how season two is gonna go. Is this storyline gonna be completed by the end of this season or is it gonna continue into season 2?
"Bones" - 11x10 - I thought this midseason finale was suitably dramatic but it really annoyed me that the hospital just let Hodgins wander around after being blown up. Surely he should have been kept in for observation or something. That just really bothered me and then what happened happened so there you go. I'm just happy Aubrey was okay. He's become my proper fave so I'd be very distraught if anything happened to him.
"Criminal Minds" - 11x13 - I thought this episode was pretty good. This season definitely seems to have gone back to the ways of the earlier seasons and I really like that.
"Blindspot" - 1x14 - I thought this episode was okay. I enjoy a lot of this show but sometimes I find the tone quite difficult to enjoy. It just seems so pofaced and serious a lot of the time. I am looking forward to finding out more about Jane though.
"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" - 1x15 - I've ended up enjoying this show a lot more than I expected to and with season 2 a go I can allow myself to like it without getting ready to say goodbye. I thought it was really nice how everyone was worried about Rebecca, in their own little ways. Greg has always been my favourite (even when he does slightly questionable things) so I especially liked the way they played his concern. Obviously he was very worried but didn't really want to show it. I guess that's his way. I hope Rebecca knows that people care about her though and is happy in West Covina now. I wonder what's gonna happen with the Josh thing though?
"Castle" - 8x15 - I thought this episode was okay. It was good to see Beckett again and I liked that she was the focus of this episode. It did annoy me when she was upset with Castle for not telling her things (to protect her. Does this sounds familiar?) but I was glad they both realised that they both need to stop doing that.
"Lucifer" - 1x09 - I'm quite enjoying this show now and I liked the storyline this week - especially the effect (affect?) it had on Lucifer. I think he was quite surprised about how upset he was about the outcome and maybe the more human he becomes the harder he's gonna find thing? I thought the final scene between him and Chloe was really sweet. He likes to make jokes about them getting it on but I think he values her friendship more than even he realises.
"Supergirl" - 1x17 - I'm enjoying this show too and I thought this was a good episode. I liked finding out more about J'onn J'onzz and how he took over the body of Hank Henshaw. And I also liked the scenes between Kara and Lucy - maybe now they can find some common ground and not see each other as rivals for James' affections. Siobhan's storyline was interesting too, I wonder where that's gonna lead? And is she good or bad?
"The Flash" - 2x16 - I'm glad we got this show back as I'd missed it a bit. I thought this episode was another good one. I liked the idea of another speedster and what happened to her could serve as warning for all of the team. And now they've found out the truth about Zoom (assuming that is the truth and there isn't another twist?), I wonder what they're gonna do now? And how are they all gonna react to the betrayal? I thought Cisco was awesome in this episode as usual - he had some great one liners here. I'm looking forward to seeing how things progress from here and how is Barry gonna get back to Earth 2 (as I assume he's going to at some point?). And how was that person in the prison?
"Limitless" - 1x19 - I'm starting to get quite worried about the future of this show. I really hope it gets renewed as I really enjoy it, however, I don't think it's been quite as strong after the break as it was before Christmas which is a shame because that could really effect the chances of renewal. I think Brian is in big trouble now and maybe all the things he's been lying about are all gonna come out. Rebecca knows he's linked with Morra somehow and she's not happy about it and she's probably one of the few people he could really count on. And what is Sands up to now? I'm still not sure if I trust Piper though - in fact I don't think I trust many people at the moment. And Brian is right in the middle of everything and I have a feeling it's not gonna end well.
"Stitchers" - 2x01 - I really enjoyed this show last season so am really glad we're back (I'm surprised it's so early in the year though as I'm sure it started in June last year). I think it's quite interesting that the last stitch of last season has left a lasting impression on both Kirsten and Cameron. Cameron 2.0 seems quite cool but reckless and that worries me and I kinda liked how detached Kirsten was before and it was a massive part of her character so I'm bit concerned about how that's gonna play out. This opening episode of the season has definitely set things up quite nicely so I'm looking forward to seeing how things develop.
"Arrow" - 4x16 - It was good to have this show back after the break too and I thought this was quite a good episode. It was good to have Cupid back again even if she is crazy, she makes for a good enemy I guess. The fall out to the Oliver and Felicity stuff was handled quite well and I'm kinda glad that she decided not to be part of the team anymore - there's no way it wasn't gonna be awkward having them working together. It just wasn't gonna work anymore - and it did annoy me that she was being all off to him during the case. It just wasn't helpful and she broke up with him! I'm not sure I quite understand why she's just walking away when love each other and both don't want to be apart. I guess Felicity thinks it's for the best. I assuming they're gonna get back together at some point so I'm wondering how that's gonna play out?
"Supernatural" - 11x16 - I enjoyed this episode. It really reminded me of the earlier seasons (especially a few notable episodes in season 2, I think?) and I liked the way both cases played out. This season has had quite a few so called "filler" episodes but I've actually enjoyed them a lot more than the ongoing storyline stuff. They remind me of how things used to be and I like that. It was good to see Bobby and Rufus again and I liked the reason why Bobby didn't finish his notes!
I also watched the first two episodes of "Daredevil" season 2. I thought they were both quite good episodes but I was glad there was a last season on thing because I'd forgotten it all! I think Matt really needs to realise that, even though his senses are heightened and all, he's not invincible and he's gonna get himself killed if he's not cared. Just take care of yourself, Matt. You can't save the city of you're dead.
In other news: I've got tickets to go and see "The Voice UK" tomorrow night. I'm looking forward to it, I hope we get in. I applied for some last year but couldn't go on the date I got tickets for which was annoying.
