It's been a few days since my previous post but I do have a few days worth of TV shows to comment on. So here we go:
On Monday night I watched:
"Bones" - 11x06 - I can honestly say that, at the moment, I'm only watching this show for Aubrey and this episode was a good Aubrey episode. I enjoyed all of his scenes with Jessica (well, everyone really but especially Jessica) and I just ship them so much. I'm hoping for something Aubrey-centric soon.
Tuesday is currently a very busy day and I watched:
Castle 8x12 - I thought this episode was pretty good (and this show seems to have improved a little bit over the past few episodes which is good). I liked the way things played out and I suspected that one of the people being held captive with them was actually the one doing it all so I wasn't at all surprised when it was revealed that the guy who claimed he was a priest was. I was glad Castle and Beckett figured it out too.
I thought it was also pretty cool how the others are teamed up to figure out what had happened.
Here's hoping for more good episodes.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend 1x12 - I thought this episode was quite good but I don't think Paula is actually doing Rebecca any favours. Maybe instead of helping her get Josh she should be trying to help her figure out why she thinks she needs Josh to make her happy. I mean, what would happen if she actually did end up getting into a relationship with him? It probably wouldn't work out anyway but what would she have to focus on then? Her fixation on Josh isn't healthy and Paula helping her is just feeding her obsession. Hopefully Rebecca will be able to figure things out soon before she ends up telling lie after lie after lie and making things worse for herself.
I thought Greg was a bit harsh in this episode but I can't help but think that maybe that's what Rebecca needs - maybe she needs someone to open her eyes to what she's actually doing here?
I thought the storyline between White Josh and Rebecca's boss (I still can't remember he name) was really sweet actually. And pretty well done. I liked the way he figured out that he was bisexual. I hope they explore their relationship more.
Lucifer 1x05 - I think this show is picking up and I'm enjoying watching it at the moment. I like that Lucifer has now been officially appointed as a consultant for the police and will be working with Chloe officially now instead of just somehow managing to get his way into the case.
I think their dynamic is actually really interesting and I'm looking forward to where things are gonna go from here. And what are Lucifer's friends up to now?
Supergirl 1x14 - I thought this episode was a good one as usual. I thought the fall out from what happened to Astra was quite well handled although I felt sorry for Hank when Kara was really off with him - even though he didn't actually do it does she really think that it would have happened if there was another choice? I don't know how long Alex is gonna be able to let Kara think that it was Hank for though. I don't think she'll be able to lie to her for long. And Kara could find out another - especially with her super hearing at the fact that Alex and Hank keep talking about it.
I liked how James was concerned about the way things were being handled at the DEO - he was right. Even though they all suspect that Max Lord is a bad guy, they don't actually have any evidence that says he's done anything wrong. And they can't just hold him prisoner with no real reason. I think Kara knew that and she needed James to tell her about it. I was a little bit worried that he was gonna write and expose about them or something so I'm glad that didn't happen.
I thought Cat's new assistant was quite interesting too. Do we trust her?
The X Files 10x06 - I thought this episode was a pretty good one but I refuse to believe that it's actually the end. It really felt like one of those season finales they used to do back in the day - one that was the first of a two, or sometimes even three, part story that was to be addressed at the beginning of the following season.
It was nice seeing Miller and Einstein again and I liked that it revisited the season premiere. I thought the storyline about the diseases was pretty good (although it seemed very familiar) and I thought the idea that the alien DNA that Scully (and some other people) had was what was saving her, and could save everyone, was pretty good. Interesting seeing Reyes too (although I was hoping for a mention of Doggett).
This episode just felt like the beginning of something bigger and if we don't get another season after this it'll just feel unfinished.
I think my only complaint about this season was that it was just too short. 6 episodes just wasn't enough to tell the story they wanted to - especially as they wanted to do some standalones too.
I have enjoyed this "6 episode event" though, it was worth it just for 10x03. That episode was awesome.
I hope we get more as when this episode ended I may have shouted "What?! They can't end it like that!!"
Then last night I watched:
The Flash 2x15 - I enjoyed this episode like always and thought the fallout from their adventures on Earth 2 were handled pretty well. I liked that both Cisco and Barry told about their experience even though they all agreed not to. I don't think Barry could have carried on his interactions with Iris and Joe without telling them - I think he's that kind of person - and Cisco and Caitlin have such a close friendship that she just knew something was off with him. I liked their conversations in this episode - their friendship isn't shown enough on this show so I'm glad we got some stuff.
I thought Wally was acting like a bit of a jerk to Barry, to be honest. I know this whole family thing is an adjustment for him but he didn't need to take it out on Barry - especially as Barry was grieving the loss of a friend. I don't think Iris and Joe should have tried to force it though. I'm sure things would have worked out in time. I hope they can become friends in the end.
It was to see Diggle appearing in this show and I thought the King Shark (was that his name?) storyline was good. I loved all the Jaws references.
I had a feeling that something was off with Jay but I didn't see that ending coming - I thought the prisoner was the real Jay and the Jay they all knew was an imposter but now I'm not quite sure what's going on. Is Zoom the real Jay Garrick? But then who is the Jay we thought we knew? And who is the prisoner? So many questions.
Limitless 1x16 - I thought this episode was better than last weeks but I still missed Brian's interactions with the other agents as I think that's the best part of the show. It was good finding out more about Sands though and I liked the way the thing Brian was involved in was also the case Rebecca and the others were working on. I thought that was pretty clever. I'm not quite sure why Sands went to Brian for help though - surely he knows other people? I guess Brian's the only one who's on NZT. Or something. I thought it was nice that Brian helped him though
I think my favourite scene was the one at the end between Brian and Rebecca though - I really love their friendship and I hope he can survive all the lies he's had to tell her. I thought it was nice that she was quite annoyed about all the Happy Birthdays she got a work but was quite touched when Brian got her a present. Awww.
Teen Wolf 5x18 - I thought this episode was quite a good one but I don't think the present day scenes at the flashback scenes really worked together. I think the flashbacks should have just been cut with the scenes of Argent telling the story and then maybe the school scenes should have been a different episode. I don't know. I just don't think this episode flowed that well.
It was nice to hear the story of the Beast and how Marie Jeanne ended up being the first hunter - and became an Argent. I had a feeling that the person who was helping her was an Argent and was how she would become one. And it was also nice to see Crystal Reed again. Nice mention of Allison too. I wonder what Lydia is gonna do now?
Now that final scene? Is Mason the Beast? I can honestly say that I did not see that coming at all. I thought I'd considered everyone but I didn't think of him at all, even though he's one of the few remaining humans on the show. I wonder what they're gonna do now?
In other news: my tattoo is healing nicely. It was scabby yesterday but is now a bit peely and itchy. It seems to have healed pretty quickly but I guess it has been almost a week already. Speaking of tattoos, when we went there on Saturday me and Nicky also booked for another one! It just happened! Lol! I know what I want, I just need to decide where I want to get it in the next two weeks.
