Team Ricky
So, "The Voice UK" returned to our screens last night with a swanky new line up. My boy Ricky Wilson is still there though which, as we all know, is all that matters. I thought it was a pretty decent start to the series, the new coaches seem okay but I think they need to settle in a little bit. Boy George seemed okay but Paloma could get really annoying if she's not careful. Her little girl voice is very grating already. And the way they kept picking on Ricky annoyed me a little bit (probably because I love him. Lol!). I was glad when that girl chose him over Boy George when everyone was telling her to go with George (btw, is it Team Boy George or Team George?).
I wasn't that impressed with any of the acts though, to be honest. I thought the last girl was good (and I wanted her on Team Ricky) but everyone else was pretty forgettable and will probably leave in the battles.
Anyway, Ricky was cute and I liked his waistcoat and, as we know, that's all that matters.
Last night I also watched Hawaii Five-0 6x11 - It was good to have this show back after the break and I thought this episode was okay. The Steve and Danny at couples counselling stuff was fun but kind of out of nowhere. Their relationship has been okay this season really (well, Danny's hardly been there but they haven't been arguing a lot or anything) so there was a slight lack of build up for me there. We did get some nice scenes between them though and I liked Danny's insight into relationships. I think most of the couples there felt better after he said it.
I thought the case of the week was okay - it was good to find out more about Kamekona as he's been on the show for a long time but I'm not sure if the storyline was really strong to carry the episode. I did like the stuff between him and Chin though.
Oh, and I thought the Adam and Gabriel stuff was boring. I'm really not interested in Gabriel and his motivations at all.
On Friday I also watched "Heroes Reborn" - 1x11 - I thought this episode was okay but I really needed an extensive "previously on.." because I didn't know what was going on.
