I just took my Christmas stuff down. Doing that always makes me feel a bit sad but I'm back to work tomorrow and once that happens the "holiday season" is officially over. I'm not gonna lie, I'm gonna find it hard to get up in the morning.
On New Year's Day I watched the "Sherlock" special - I thought it was okay and was enjoying the Victorian setting and the case but then, as usual, they tried to be too clever and I don't think it worked that well. I have no problem with a writter being clever and making things complicated when it works but I don't think it did. A really nice, simple, whodunnit for Sherlock and Watson to solve would have been much better for me. Sometimes less is more, I guess.
Then last night I watched "When Harry Met Sally..." which I hadn't seen in ages! I thought it was quite good and definitely watchable. It was a good length as most movies these days are just too long for my liking. Then I watched "Strictly Ballroom" which I also hadn't seen in ages. I enjoyed it too.
