We won the quiz on Wednesday night - well, I say "we" but I didn't really contribute that much. It was good to win though, especially as the prize is tickets to see a Watford football match. And they're in the premier league now.
When I got in I watched "Limitless" - 1x10 - I really enjoyed this episode. I definitely think is show is my favourite of the new shows I've watched this season. I just find it really entertaining and it makes me smile. I thought the case of the week in this episode was quite cool but the best scenes are always the character stuff. I think Brian has become one of my favourite characters and I was offended on his behalf when his father was threatening Naz and saying that he'll take legal responsibility of Brian if he needs to because Brian can't look after himself. Brian might have his issues but he's not stupid and he can make his own decisions. Even if they end up being mistakes they're his mistakes to make. I definitely think telling his Dad about this was a bad idea and I can't see things ending well.
I thought the final scene between Brian and Rebecca was really sweet and just made me smile. I really like their friendship. Love Brians puns and his awesome cardigan collection.
Then last night I watched
"Supergirl" - 1x05 - I thought this episode was a good one, this show seems to have found it's feet over these past few episodes. I liked the stuff between Kara and Cat again. I'd like to see more of their working relationship in upcoming episodes. And I thought the scenes between Kara and Cat's son were quite nice. I'm still enjoying Winn's character and I hope we find out more about him as the show progresses.
This episode and last weeks were shown out of order and I think it actually showed quite a lot in this episode, especially with the Jimmy (James. Whatever) and Lucy scenes. They definitely were a couple in last weeks episode whereas they made up and became a couple again in this one.
I thought the stuff with Maxwell Lord was quite interesting. I take it he's the bad guy of the show? Kind of a shame really because I liked his scenes with Alex.
"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" - 1x07 - I thought this episode was okay but I didn't enjoy it as much as previous episodes - I don't think there was enough Greg, if I'm honest, and I missed him. I thought seeing Rebecca's emotional fall out was quite good though and showed a lot about her character. Maybe it's just the idea of Josh that she likes and not Josh himself? Or something? I don't think her friendship with Paula is helping her though. Hoping for a slightly better episode next time.
"Elementary" - 4x02 - I thought this episode was quite good but I'm a little surprised that Joan and Sherlock seem to be heading back to the NYPD so soon as I was kind of looking forward to seeing them try and cope away from it. It'll be nice to see Gregson and Bell again though. I enjoyed the case of the week although it was a bit silly that the FBI kept missing clues and evidence though. I know it was to show how important Sherlock and Joan's investigative skills are but it just made the FBI look inept.
I started watching "Sleepy Hollow" but because I didn't watch last weeks (because it was the 2nd part of a two-part cross over with "Bones") I didn't really know what was going on and think I must have missed some pretty important stuff. It seems like that cross over and messed things around a bit. Maybe I'll see if the 2nd part of it makes sense as a standalone?
I also watched "Bring the Noise". Ricky Wilson. Awww.
