Since Monday night I've been suffering with a tooth/gum situation. Thankfully it seems like the worst of it is over as it doesn't seem too bad today. I'm still getting the odd twinge of pain but nowhere near the horror that it was before (I haven't taken any pain killers since late last night). On Tuesday and Wednesday it made my face swell, I looked like a chipmunk! I have done something to my back though and my legs feel strange and heavy. I think I'm falling apart!
Anyway, on to better things like the shows I've watched since my last post (my TV schedule is pretty full right now).
"Limitless" - 1x09 - I'm still really enjoying this show. It's just fun and I enjoy watching it. Obviously there's some serious stuff in there too and I really like the balance. Brian is a cool character (and I love his cardigan collection) and I like that he's not perfect (even when he's on NZT) and sometimes does silly things. I liked this episode and his "Bruntouchables" actually worked really well together and collectively managed to get quite a few of those bad guys - and manage to prove one of them innocent. I enjoyed the scenes between Brian and his family but I'm worried about what he might end up telling his Dad. The more people that know the worse it could be for everyone. Besides, would his father even believe him?
"The Flash" - 2x07 - I thought this episode was quite good but not the best this show is capable of. Seeing Grod again was interesting enough but the best part was how they all worked together (including Wells, or Harry. Whatever) to get Caitlin back and to get Grod somewhere where he would be safe (hopefully) but away from them. I liked the Barry scenes as usual (he's very watchable) and his heart to hearts with Joe are always good value. It was nice to see his Dad again too. Oh, and Cisco is awesome.
"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" - 1x06 - I'm still enjoying this show quite a lot (even though I think it's gonna be cancelled). I thought the Thanksgiving storyline was quite fun but my favourite was the one about Greg and his father. He's just a really good guy and I hope Rebecca realises that soon. I thought the scene at the end between them two eating tacos (mmm, tacos) was really nice and they were both just so comfortable with each other. I really like their friendship.
"How To Get Away With Murder" - 2x04 - I thought this episode was quite good. The case of the week was a really interesting one and I liked the way it kinda linked up to their situations and maybe the plan that leads to what we know happens.
"Supernatural" - 11x07 - I enjoyed this episode. These days the so called "filler" episodes just seem so much better than the on going storyline stuff, I don't know why. I thought it was cool seeing Donna again and the case was good. Just a simple monster of the week stuff. That's what this show is good at. But it what world was that clown not super creepy? Yikes!
"Arrow" - 4x07 - I thought this episode was quite good but I'm almost sick of the whole people coming back from the dead thing that seems to be so prominent in this show these days (actually the whole basis of the show is that someone everyone thought was dead wasn't but whatever). I don't know how I feel about the Diggle thing and I can understand his reservations about everything. That person isn't his brother (or who he thought his brother was). I like the stuff about Oliver's mayoral campaign. I think I like that side of Oliver.
"Supergirl" - 1x04 - I thought this episode was a really good one. Maybe the best one yet? I thought the story of the week was good and Livewire was a good baddie. I think the best part of this episode, though, was the scenes between Kara and Cat - I think their relationship/friendship (whatever) is really interesting and could end up being a really good part of the show. I hope it does. I thought the scenes between Kara, Alex and their mother was good too. I felt really sorry for Alex because it's not easy being the non-favourite child (I'm sure it's not easy being the favourite either). I'm glad they had that discussion and maybe things can change a bit for them. The Thanksgiving scenes were nice too and I liked that Kara invited Winn over because he didn't have anyone else to celebrate with. I like his character and I hope we find out more about him. I'm not warming to James though which is a real shame. He's giving Kara mixed messages and he has a girlfriend. I don't think that's fair.
"Elementary" - 4x01 - It was nice to have this show back on our screens and I thought this opening episode was quite a good one. I felt sorry for Sherlock when he was so sorry about ruining things for Joan - that was very thoughtful of him. I thought the case was interesting enough too. And now his father has showed up - for some reason I thought we'd met his father before (and he wasn't John Noble). Am I remembering that wrong? Maybe someone met Joan and they were pretending to be his father? Maybe I'm remembering a different show? It's happened before!
I was gonna watch "Sleepy Hollow" but I think it was the second part of that two-part cross over with "Bones" so I think I might just save it until I've seen the first part.
I did watch "Bring the Noise" though. Ricky Wilson. Awww. Loved his awkward Dirty Dancing.
