Suits 5x01
It was really good to have this show back even though I had kind of forgotten how it ended last season (I was glad they gave us a pretty detailed "previously on.." and, of course, once I saw that I remembered everything). It was a good episode to start too, I thought!
I liked seeing Harvey's reaction to the Donna situation (and, in turn, everyone else's reaction to it too - especially Mike and Rachel. I thought it was nice that they decided to cut him some slack too and, in Rachel's case, help him out with the jobs Donna would normally do). I liked how much it actually effected Harvey - he didn't want to admit it but her leaving had really thrown him. So much that he was having panic attacks and seeing therapists. That's not like Harvey at all. I thought it was good at the end of the episode that he'd accepted that Donna worked for Louis now and probably wasn't gonna come back. I do think it would have been nice if the panic attacks/medication storyline had gone on for a little bit longer though (and I would have liked it if someone saw him having a panic attack and tried to help him through it - it would have been good if that was Mike).
I thought the Mike and Harvey scenes were really good too - and I loved the one at the end. I really like the friendship that's grown between them and I'm looking forward to more scenes like the ones in this episode as the season goes on.
I thought the actually law stuff was good too - the case was interesting but not too complicated. This episode was more about the characters which is what I really like about this show.
Glad to have it back, looking forward to more.
Graceland 3x01
I thought this was a pretty good opener too but sometimes with this show it just doesn't hold my attention as much as it should and there were a few scenes in this episode like that.
I'm glad Mike it okay - although there wasn't really that much doubt even though they wanted us to believe that Mike was dead. I liked that they were just making Sid think that he'd killed Mike. I would have liked it if the other people in Graceland actually thought Mike was dead too (that's actually what I thought was happening at one point - that Paul was the only one who knew - so was looking forward to some kind of big reveal).
The stuff about Paul and that cassette was okay but didn't hold my interest as much as other aspects of this episode. I am interested in seeing where things can go from here though.
And that scene at the end?? Johnny's like deep undercover, right? Like really deep undercover. He can't be working with Sid for real.
In other news: I'm in the process of putting together a Claire Dearing from "Jurassic World" costume for LFCC. I hope I can get everything together in time (I've got three weeks, I think?)
