So, I've watched a few more finales this week - I think I've gone from 25 shows a week to like four. It sucks! Hopefully some summer shows will kick off soon and fill the void. Speaking of, I watched the first episode of a show called "Stitchers" (I think?) the other night. Thought it was quite interesting.
On Monday night I watched the "Criminal Minds" season 10 finale - 10x23 - I thought it was quite a good finale but it did annoy me a little bit that Kate's been there for like a season and gets a season finale storyline and other characters have been there for way longer and haven't got one yet. As a finale I thought it was a pretty good one though - is Jennifer Love Hewitt leaving for good or is she gonna be back after a while? All in all, I think this season as been pretty good. Some episodes have been better than others but that's kinda usual with this show.
Then on Tuesday I watched the finale of "Elementary" - 3x24 - I thought this episode was quite good. It's a shame that Sherlock seems to have relapsed but hopefully with the support from Joan he can get through it again. His old friend was a real piece of work, wasn't he? Putting Sherlock in that situation was a really mean thing to do. I think this season has been okay - again some episodes have been better than others but that's quite usual with procedural shows. I think it's been better than season two though.
Then last night I watched the season finale of "Bates Motel" - 3x10 - I thought this episode was quite intense. Norman has definitely lost it now and is on the verge of becoming what we know he's gonna turn in to. I think Freddie Highmore has done a really good job of it though - he's always good in this show and seeing him fall apart has been quite compelling. Even right til the end I didn't now if Bradley was real or not but I guess she was. I thought that was done pretty well though and that final scene was kind chilling.
I thought the Dylan and Emma scene was really good - and I'm glad we got to see them together finally You know, when I first mentioned that I kinda shipped them I never actually thought the writers would do it. I'm glad they decided to use the natural chemistry between the actors though and I'm looking forward to what might happen between them in season 4. It was a great kiss too! Super cute scene.
I thought the scenes between Norma and Romero were quite good again - but what's Romero done now? I kinda want to think that he did it protect Norma but who knows why he does the things he does. I've really enjoyed this season though and seeing Norman spiralling has been compelling. I wonder where he can go from here?
Last night I also watched "Bones" - 10x20 - I enjoyed this episode and was super glad we got some scenes between Aubrey and Jessica! Not only did we get scenes they were awesome scenes! I'm just so glad the writers are exploring this. When I first mentioned that I wanted to ship them I think they'd only had like one really brief scene together (I honestly can't even remember if they actually interacted!) and I thought it was a real long shot. I really love it when a ship comes together like this! Plus, I kinda love Aubrey. He's adorable! I wonder if we'll get some more scenes between them before this season is over?
Everything else in this episode was okay. The Booth and Brennan stuff is suitably dramatic but I think Aubrey was right with what he said - everything will be find between them. I'm not entirely that pushing Booth away would give him the incentive to face his addiction though - he needs to want to do it for himself not because he thinks it's what Brennan wants. I did like the way the case had some paralells though I think that was what made Booth realise what he needed to do.
Angela was annoying, as usual. I have a really irrational hatred of her and I have no idea why really. Just everything she does is just so annoying. I just hate her. I hope she dies (even though I love Hodgins and woudn't want him to suffer).
I also watched "Grimm" - 4x19 - I have to be honest, this episode didn't hold my attention at all. Juliette is turning into a real bitch though. Is that really what happens when you become a hexenbiest? I hope they can find a way to get the old Juliette.
Last night I also watched the movie "What If" again - I think this was the extended US version (or something) because it had an extra bit on the end which I didn't really like. The UK theatrical ending was better.
