So, it's voting day today. I'm gonna head to the polling station later (by myself apparently because Mum just decided to go earlier without me even though we always go together. How rude). I still have no idea who I'm gonna vote for (even if I did, I probably wouldn't post about it. I think it's just better to not talk about this kind of thing). I'll just decide when I get there I suppose.
In other news: I've been watching a bit of TV as usual over the past few days.
"Castle" - 7x22 - another filler episode really which I just find wasteful at this stage of the season. If it had been earlier in the season it would have been an okay episode but at this stage it just seemed like a waste of time. This season has been quite disappointing. If it comes back next season I'm gonna have to seriously consider whether I'll come back for it.
"The Night Shift" - 2x12 - for some reason I thought this episode was gonna be the finale but it's not. Just how many episodes are there this season? I thought this episode was quite good (although I kinda wanted them to be wrong about the abusive husband just because they didn't follow protocol at all. They must have policies and procedures in place for that kind of thing and it didn't look like they followed them at all. A case like this that involves the safety of a child (and the mother, obviously) things need to be done properly or the case just isn't gonna hold water when it gets to court. I think Topher and TC going to Afganistan is gonna end up badly. I'm not sure how but something's gotta go wrong other while it wouldn't be a storyline.
"The Following" - 3x11 - this show seems a bit all over the place at the moment and I'm not sure that having these storylines all running at once is really working. I just don't think they can focusing enough on them all which makes things seem a bit incoherent. I quite like the way Ryan is falling apart though - I think that's done quite well and could lead somewhere quite interesting. And now Max's boyfriend is right in it now. I knew that him hiding that laptop was a really bad idea and now it's gone from bad to worse. What's he gonna do now?
"Elementary" - 3x20 - I thought this episode was okay. Nothing special really but good enough. I thought Sherlock was right though. Just because someone's a good beat cop doesn't mean they're a good detective. They're completely different things.
The last night I watched:
"Person of Interest" - 4x22 (season finale) - I thought this episode was much like the rest of the season, it didn't really make any sense to me. Honestly, I think this show has just lost me. I miss the more simple days. I'm gonna have to give it some serious thought before deciding if I want to come back next season.
"Grimm" - 4x15 - I thought this episode was okay. A decent enough monster of the week. I also thought the stuff with Renard was interesting - what's going on with him? There's obviously a lot more fall out to what his mother did that they all thought.
Flash 1x21
I thought this episode was another good one - I liked the way they dealt with Iris finding out. I kinda liked that she found out herself instead of being told and I thought she was totally right to react the way she did, but I could also see where Barry and Joe were coming from. I think she kinda could too when she really thought about it but they still should have told her. Her knowing would actually have helped her and protected her more than keeping her in the dark and I'm glad she told them that. I'm looking forward to seeing how the dynamic changes now she knows (and now Wells isn't helping them).
I thought the metahuman of the week storyline was okay. I'm not entirely sure how I felt about the Grodd storyline but I guess it gave us a little insight into Harrison Wells (well, Eobard Thawne or whatever his name is).
I thought the scenes between Harrison Wells and Eddie were quite interesting but I hope he doesn't manage to manipulate Eddie. Just because Wells has seen one version of the future doesn't mean Eddie can't change it. I hope Eddie knows that. I wonder what Harrison Wells want him for anyway?
With only a handful of episodes left to go things are getting interesting.
