So, yesterday was Pancake Day (or Shrove Tuesday)! I love Pancake Day so last night had lots of pancakes for dinner - I had a savoury sweet chili chicken one, followed by a strawberry, raspberry, banana one with Mars dessert sauce and finished off with 5 classic sugar and lemon ones. I felt quite full afterwards but it was worth it.
Castle 7x15
I thought this episode was good - quite dark. A lot darker than this show usually is (I'm sure the next episode will be a light fluffy one to balance things out). I liked seeing the darker side of Castle though, especially the scene when he was threatening to shoot that guy - I wonder if he would have actually done it?
I also liked the way Castle (and Ryan and Esposito) played Tyson at his own game. As the scenes went on and Castle went to that place alone I was hoping he had some back-up there and more of a plan that it seemed so I was glad to find out that he had outsmarted Tyson - I thought the flashbacks were a good way of showing that too.
I liked that Beckett didn't really need rescuing in the end - she managed to get free and kill Dr Nieman on her own, before the boys even arrived. I liked that they did that.
I wonder if this will all be mentioned again - with Beckett have some fallout from it? Or will we just carry on as if nothing has happened? Oh, and Castle is back consulting with the NYPD now? I have to admit that I'm a little disappointed about that. I liked them being apart and thought it would continue for a little longer.
Oh, and I wonder if Tyson had anything to do with Castle's missing time at the beginning of the season? We hadn't had it mentioned for a while and the fact that they mentioned it now made me wonder.
After that I watched "The 100" - 2x07 - I thought it was a pretty good episode. I liked that they found a way to instigate a truce with the grounders, with a catch of course. I wonder what's gonna happen with that? I can't see Finn standing by and letting there be a war knowing he can do something about it. I don't know if anyone will expect him to make the ultimate sacrifice but I think he will decide to make it anyway. I guess we'll soon see.
Finally for Tuesday night I watched "Elementary" - 3x09 - it was good to have this show back again and I thought the case was quite interesting. I'm still enjoying the dynamic that includes Kitty. I also liked the stuff about Sherlock's addictions. I really like that they include that in this show and I liked that they're showing the difficulties involved.
