Castle 7x09
I quite liked this episode - although it did seem like a pretty standard episode. It was better than some of the gimicky stuff we've been getting lately but not quite as good as last weeks.
I thought it was pretty interesting to see Beckett move out of her place so she could move in with Castle - had that been mentioned before and I just wasn't paying attention? I don't remember their being any kind of conversation about where they would live - I think it would be better for them to buy a whole new place, to be honest. I can't see Beckett adapting that well to live with Castle, his mother and Alexis.
The case of the week was good enough in this episode and I enjoyed seeing Castle being all fanboy-y about the movies and actors. That's always fun.
On Tuesday I also watched "Elementary" - 3x04 - I thought this episode was okay. I didn't love it as it didn't hold my attention as well as previous episodes have done. It was left a bit up in the air too and the ending was very abrupt.
SPN 10x08
I thought this episode was a good one - it almost seemed like the good old days with Sam and Dean investigating a good solid monster of the week. It was cool seeing Jodie Mills again (it doesn't seem like it was that long ago when we last saw her but she's one of the few female characters that we get to see repeatedly so it's always good to see her again). I liked seeing Donna again too and the scenes between her and Jodie were fun.
It was also good to see some vampires again and I liked that the stuff regarding Dean and the mark was mentioned again - I hope it's leading into something big for the midseason finale next week.
The Flash 1x08
I thought this episode was really cool - it was good seeing Oliver, Felicity and Diggle make an appearance in this show and I thought they seemed to fit it pretty well. I always thought cross overs might be difficult to pull of with The Flash and Arrow because the overall tone of both shows is very different. I think it worked though and they got the balance right. The characters from Arrow didn't feel too out of place and they were still in character.
I thought the “metahuman” they were searching for was pretty decent - and I liked the effect it had on Barry (and therefore The Flash). Even though that guy had put the whammy on him I think Barry was right, some of those thoughts were already inside him he just didn't let them get out before. He was annoyed by his boss and Joe. And the fact that Iris is with Eddie now is driving him crazy. And now the police have set up a task force to catch The Flash. That's an interesting turn of events and I'm looking forward to seeing how things play out from here - especially because Joe knows who is is. And is Barry's relationship with Iris gonna suffer? Oh, and is he gonna take Oliver's advice about that?
I thought it was pretty interesting that Wells managed to find out who the Arrow was so quickly - how did he do that? I also liked how there was something Oliver just didn't like about that guy.
Oh, and Caitlin's fiance is back. Now, is he a good guy or a bad guy?
I take it the storyline Oliver, Felicity and Diggle were investigating about the boomerang is gonna be continued in the next episode of Arrow (featuring Barry and co). I'm looking forward to it.
Then I watched "Sleepy Hollow" - 2x08 - I thought this episode was quite good as usual. I don't think I like Ichabod's wife though, I don't trust her at all and I'm quite glad that Ichabod seems to be questioning her motives as well, especially given the stuff she's lied to him about in the past. I think her presence kind of ruins the dynamic between Ichabod and Abbie too so I'm glad she's gone back to Abraham now. I do like the inclusion of Hawley though - I think he's a pretty cool character and I like his scenes with Abbie. They have really good chemistry. I wonder if that will go anywhere?
And finally for Wednesday night I watched "How To Get Away With Murder" - 1x07 - still enjoying this show and things are getting quite interesting now.
